You really couldn't put it down because there is some much going on that will have you literally wondering what this author has in store for the reader next. "Cameron is fast paced and it will be so much going up and I was trying to keep up ...well I took notes because I didn't want to miss any of it. This storyline was so intriguing and all the drama OMG ...yes! All of the characters were simple off the chart GOOD really making each one very believable that anyone could relate to.....it was all well presented from Cameron(Hypnotic),Rodney, Ahmad, Pocahontas(Poca), Terrence(Silk),X-rated, Redbone, Wallace, Pure Seduction, Tiffany, Juicy, Jerrell, Jude, Rico, Klimaxxx, Bobby,to Kevin and I am sure I have left someone out...so You will have to pick up this excellent read "Cameron" to find out just who that may be. This poor heroine(Cameron) really went through so much that you can only hope for her in the end some common sense because she never gives up and just continues to move forward with her life. Now it is my understanding that there is a book 2... so perhaps we may find some more interesting things about this heroine. We know from the reading that she was a orphan and had lived in many foster homes and now her life had been... when again I don't want to give too much again....pick up the read...you will not be disappointed! Ms. Jones this is my second novel that I have read of yours and I really can only say I enjoyed them both and will be looking forward to Cameron 2 novel real soon. With that being said I would definitely recommend "Cameron" to you as a excellent read. Review: A Rising Star - What can I say about this talented author's work. Fast, Easy Read
I got this book for free yesterday when I saw it on the Kindle Buffett List. I did not know the author and just thought it might interest me based on the reivews. The book was good and I liked it. There was lots of drama, but by the time I hit page 200 and the story ended I defintely wanted to know what was going to happen to Cameron and I will be getting book 2 just for that purpose. There were some minor editing issues, but not enough to distract or annoy and for the most part was better than what you sometimes find in urban/street lit self-published books. 18 year old Cameron is a college student, who has found fast money in stripping at the local club. Cameron runs with female strippers who are only referred to by their stage names X-Rated and Pocahantas. She is also dating a possessive, fidelity challenged male stripper named Silk (aka Terrence). Cameron is surrounded by people who are hustling in one way or other and the life she leads is not easy and comes with lots of betrayal, dangers and pitfalls. One tragedy after another befalls her and I found myself wanting and waiting for her to get a clue that there was no future in the life she was leading. I guess I would also be reading book 2 to either see what more drama can befall Cameron before she gets a clue or hoping that I learn that the character wisened up.

Can't Wait for Cameron 2!
I read Cameron in less than 24 hours. My interest was kept from the time I started reading. Cameron is a very strong person! She endured a lot but yet was still determined to stay in school and do whatever she had to do not to get kicked out! I like that I was able to visualize what I was reading, to me that is always a plus when reading a book. I hope Wallace gets what's coming to him and that Silk gets a life! Although Jude had his own skeletons in the closet, he owned up to it, gave Cameron some space and apologized like a real man. I love their relationship and the way he treats Cameron! I just couldn't figure out why she didn't tell Jude what Wallace did to her. Job well done and looking forward to Cameron 2!

Book sense, but not a lick of common sense.
First off, this book was just an ok read for me. It had a lot of spelling and grammatical errors. There were also a lot of typos. (extra words) Cameron was a stripper that was going to college. I can assume that she had book sense by her going to school although her book sense was not shown in the book. But, she didn't have a lick of common sense. She always followed Pocahontas around in the story like a lost puppy with her tail in between her legs, although she kept her mixed in trouble. I mean, when can you say enough is enough? Geesh!!! While dealing with Poca, Cameron was jumped on, raped, robbed, shot at and everything, and that still wasn't enough. I'm glad Poca got what she had coming to her, but it took Poca getting killed for Cameron to move on. That is ridiculous. I almost want to say that she deserved everything that happened to her just for being so stupid. I mean come on. There were times when I wished I could jump in the book and ring Pocahontas's neck. Cameron just didn't get it. Also another thing I didn't get was...I also read "Ghetto Pocahontas." In that book Pocahontas was a scary girl that was scared to fight. In this book, Poca was the one that was initiating everything. She was still greedy and grimy, but it seemed like she got tough all of a sudden. Over all it was an ok read. I will possibly read more from this author.

Crazy!
Cameron was a young girl. She didn't have alot of common sense to me. There where times I wanted to shake some sense into her. There were other times I wanted to feel sorry for her. It seemed as if she didn't recieve the lessons of her experiences. I was rooting for her all the way, but I just wanted her to wise up a little. She was the product of a young girl gone astray, and not really knowing her worth. She saw alot, experienced even more. But she still mananged to have some sense of normalcy with Jude! Or did she? Read this book and you can find out yourself. It was a great read, and a page-turner. I have begun Cameron2 this week. So far I've read four books by this author, and I plan to continue on. She gained a Fan with me.

A Really Great Read
I'm usually skeptical about authors who stuff I have never read before, but I do like supporting my fellow writers. So when I brought "Cameron" I was happy to find out that I had selected a great read. The characters seemed to be thought out quite well and the plot was definitely drama filled and easy to follow. Cameron had to be my favorite character through out the book. Silk was my absolute least favorite character. Over all this was definitely a great read and a definite page turner. I can not wait to read "Cameron 2" so I can see what happens in Cameron's world next.

Cameron:The School of Hard Knocks!!
This book surprised me!! I expected it to be like so many other reads I have found in the same section/ genre, however, Jade Jones gave me a real story to sink my teeth into. The editing of this book was done well. There were only a few typos or botched sentences. Not so many that it detracts from the story. The drama in the book kept me turning the pages. Because of Cameron's tendency to make such poor decisions and her need to belong, it was quite sad to watch her downward spiral--Although she was a collegiate teen, she was naive, gullible and sweet spirited. Indeed far too trusting. She was horrible with money management and had very little regard for future planning. She was in survival mode and making fast money was all she was consumed with. This was all relative to how this young lady was raised. I wanted to strangle her for her repeated poor choices and befriend her. The author took great pains to illustrate that people with intelligence, ambition and book sense can still fall victim to being people pleasers, suffer from low self esteem issues and have a deep desire to be loved and accepted. She was no doubt the easy prey of Ms Poca aka Kiesha The fact that Cam's childhood was so tragic made me care for Cameron and pull for her 'awakening' from her 'stupid stupor' at every turn. I wanted so badly to give this girl a hug and beat Poca's and Terrence's behind!! I'm hoping the author can give us some kind of back story shedding some light on why Poca was as treacherous as she was..The girl was poison. Straight up. I fell in love with the hero in the story, Jude!!! He came in at just the right moment and added the tender touches to this story that balanced it all out and redeemed my hope and faith in the men in this read. He and his brother Jerrell were outstanding. This is my first read by Jade Jones but it will not be my last. I just purchased the series of Cameron books, 1-5 and can't wait to find out what goodies unfold. Hopefully it will resume after her college graduation and also give us a little more history on the main characters introduced.. Thanks for this well written offering Ms Jones. It was a nerve wrecking journey but I completed it within a day and a half. I truly enjoyed it. Kudos to your wonderful writing skills. I look forward to reading more of this talented young woman's work.
