This thing is amazing.I tried the Maxius mini-glide (which also has teeth) because I was seeking the effect of the 'chase method', without having to use 2 hands. This thing kicks the Maxius's a$$, and at half the price.It's easy to clean, lightweight, heats okay (but its not the fastest at heating up), PINK (which I love), and gets my thick hair straight much quicker than a regular flat iron.Note: you must detangle or do a blow-out on your hair before using any iron that has combs attached.. Or else your hair tangles and will break

I would give this product ZERO stars if I could. This thing didn't do ANYTHING for my hair. If it were wider perhaps but being as THIN as it is, it didn't do a thing. I tried it on my daughter's hair thinking ok, mine is to think. Well, it didn't do anything for her hair either. I parted my hair in small sections AND when I did hers, I parted her hair in even smaller sections and STILL, it was useless. To make matters worse, now it won't even turn on. That's right - it no longer works! I gave it to my sister who has thinner hair. My sister stated when she arrived home she was so excited to use it - that as soon as she arrived home she turned it on - only to be disappointed when the power light went on but it failed to heat up. Now I know my daughter and I have thick hair but it's not so thick that after two attempted uses, that it would have broken it! Long story short, if it wasn't the uselessness of the product - it's the ineffectiveness of the product to even work - that I would advise against purchasing the product. I don't know about the 5 star reviews. Anyone that would rate it more than two stars, received a product MUCH better than what I received. It would only be worth two stars if it were functional. So, 5 stars is highly questionable.

It was okay for touching up my roots. Not much good for anything else. It seemed to frizz my hair. But it is good to get very close to the scalp. I prefer this to a pressing comb.

I love the narrow plate and the built in comb, but you can't adjust the temp! It gets too hot for my fine hair.

Returned it. The combs pulled my hair out. You cannot adjust the temperature. I gave it 1 star because negative stars is not an option. I've owned several gold n hot products but is by far the worst.

For a person with naturally curly hair, I did not like this product. It really did not straighten my hair. It does not give you that flat iron look of smoothness. My hair was left frizzy.

I love this little flat iron! My natural hair is very thick and coarse and I wanted to try one of the straightening brushes when another review suggested this product. I bought the straightening brush and this little flat iron. I loved the flat iron with the guide teeth. I have used flat irons before and they work well for me but the teeth really do make a big difference in this product. Because of its size, I can get close to the scalp and once I finished my whole head, my hair was smooth and silky! It does take time because the flat iron is so small, but it was well worth it. Gold N Hot products have the right ideas for African American hair. I love it!!!
