Plugged it in and got nothing. Tried and tried then put it on the other outlet on the router and it still didn't work. Useless.

Pretty much useless. Turns off my computer and slows everything down. Waste of money.

I needed this the of splitter for a Ethernet cable.

Do not buy this because your modem is out of ports. Purchase an Ethernet SWITCH instead. I believe this only splits the voice so you can plug in another ethernet phone/fax.

Did not work as described. Only works with one connection at a time. And it must be unplugged from the device.

Only one connection works, which makes this quite obsolete for my use case.Although if you are willing to accept that yours might have the same problem, or you don't mind settling for an 8 inch long Ethernet extender then this is the product for you.
