Works great!
This stuff works really well! I followed the instructions and cleaned the headlights with a little scuffing pad then followed the directions on the container. I was pleasantly surprised at how much nicer the headlights look! Clearer without the yellowish tone they had gotten over the years. Easy to use, just a little elbow grease. Lights are brighter! Hope this last a few months, I’ll probably rest every 6 months.

Easy to apply
Firstly, IMHO, headlight lens restoration really is only useful to return your lenses to acceptable function during night time driving. The average DIYer shouldn't go in with the expectation of a showroom result. Two years ago I restored the headlights on my 2005 CTS with SYLVANIA's Headlight Restoration Kit. The restoration was starting to fail PLUS I had added another vehicle to my garage (2007 Yukon) that needed the headlights restored. I applied the Rainex to both and had very satisfactory results on the previously restored CTS lenses. Application to the Yukon, however, didn't make a dent in the heavily oxidized parts. I can recommend Rainex for minor oxidation or refreshing previous restorations.

Headlight polish that doesn't do very much for badly sun-damaged headlights
Our 6-year old car's headlights have become very crazed and foggy looking, and I tried this as a simple way to fix or at least improve their condition. I applied a couple of coats and buffed them as instructed, but the improvement was very slight. There are a lot of products that purport to fix sun damage, but the experience I had with my truck was that the real way to fix them is to replace the headlight units with new ones and try to keep the new ones out of the sun. Since this is a safety as well as an appearance issue, NHTSA or some other regulatory body should require a fix to the plastic used in these headlight units to make them resist deterioration.

This Really Works When You Apply It Correctly
I used to do professional headlight restoration a few years ago. That entails sanding off the old clearcoat, sanding away the scratches and finally wet-sanding the headlights before applying a clearcoat finish. If you read the instructions on the back or watch YT videos the common mistake is to apply the product onto the headlights by hand and you clean them by applying pressure in a circular motion. Nope, that's NOT going to cut it unless your headlights are mildly hazed. This product is basically a very light rubbing compound + polishing agent. To get them to really look great is to apply the product either onto the headlight area or a circular pad that goes onto a drill with at least 1800 rpm's. If you apply it directly onto the headlight, once you fire up the drill, the product will splatter outwards. That's why it's best to put the product onto the pad and make small splotches on the headlight, that way you reduce the splatter. (The foam circular pads with drill chuck is sold here on Amazon). First wipe the headlights with a clean damp cloth before you start. Apply some downward pressure while constantly moving the drill and circular pad in even motion. Stop, wipe the lens with a clean damp cloth again and repeat the process until you get the desired results. Keep in mind, this is not a sealant so the headlights will haze up over time. If you want them to last longer you'll need a kit that has a clearcoat finish that you put on top.

Don’t recommend if your lights are really yellow or hazed!
My headlights haven’t been cleaned in years so I figured I would try this and it took some of the coating off but it was still foggy. I scrubbed both headlights multiple times for about an hr. Blew my mind that it was still foggy cos I thought I was really scrubbing that stuff off with my cloth. 🤣 I gave it two stars because it did get some of it off. I saw another person that reviewed this and said that he did professional headlight restoration and that the best way to sand it off. He was right! I went to Harbor Freight and got their headlight restoration kit for $14 and it included 3 different types of sandpaper, polishing disk and polisher. Attach the sanding tool to your power drill and you are ready to go! Four steps and an hour and half hour later, my headlights look brand new! Saved me lots of money from having a professional do it. So don’t waste your money on this if your headlights are really bad off, go to the Harbor Freight and get their kit instead! Thank me later!

Por el precio está excelente, ayuda a reducir el hongo. Claro no es igual que llevarlo con profesionales sin embargo cumple su funcion eliminando la mayoria de la suciedad.
