I bought this due to bad reviews on the battery these units ship with. Vacuum. The included instructions,like any product that's produced in China are very,let's say, naive. You can use ECO and CARPET at the same time! On just carpet only mode you'll lose half the battery within 5 minutes. I love this vacuum! Included was 3.0,which drained quite quickly until I pressed both buttons and started to CONSERVE. Lasted 35 minutes easily. It does suck up pretty much anything you thrown at it.

Always need a back-up battery and this one is it!

I purchased this in April 2020 for rotation with the batteries that came with my two Hoover floor appliances. Since I gave had it, it has been used about three times a month at most, as much as the equipment original batteries. This week (Feb 2021) it will no longer accept a charge. I tried it in each of my two chargers to no avail. The chargers are functioning properly and charging the original batteries. These are too way expensive to give such little service. I don’t know if this one was defective. I would not purchase another here. ADDENDUM 7/2/2022: The Hoover OnePower Cordless products I purchased directly from the manufacturer have been a colossal disappointment. Little parts break and it took more than a year to get a part replaced. The deterioration in function has been astounding. Employees are as happy to help you as beavers without trees. Hoover may have been a great name in the 1950s, but all that is gone. What a waste of money.

I might rate this item higher if not for the fact that I had to purchase one to replace the original battery that had come with the vacuum that I wanted this battery for. That battery lasted a few years at best. It worked well enough when I was able to use it, but about a year or two of use was all that I got before the battery just wouldn't charge again, leaving me with a useless vacuum cleaner and a need that continued for a vacuum that serviced my needs. This battery is supposed to be a bit heavier duty and longer lasting than that the battery that originally came with the vacuum cleaner. From what I've been able to tell so far this battery definitely lasts considerably longer than the original it replaced. As in I can run the vacuum cleaner much longer and do much more cleaning with it than I could before putting in this battery. I hope to see at least two to three years of regular life out of this battery before I might have to replace it. I would love to and will pick up a second one just so I have a pair that I can swap between while cleaning around the home. That should cover things nicely in my home.

Product is fine but DO NOT buy from The Country Butler. They’re expensive, they will claim to not get the correct item when returned and they will keep your money. BAD BUSINESS!!!

Battery works great

Perfect, Long run time with my stick vacuum on this battery. I tried 2 other times to buy the non-Hoover look-alike batteries and they sucked and both where sent back. Its worth the couple extra dollars to buy name brand quality.....You get what you pay for.....I will be ordering another one for back up since they work so well........Buy one

I bought the vac at ctc on sale at xmas my wife wanted dyson too much $. It works fantastic but needed an extra battery. I bought the largest 4.0 Ahr from Amazon and we never run out of power now. Total spent $293. Dyson $600.

We previously got two non-OEM batteries and they failed within a month. Thankfully we got a refund from Amazon, and then we bought this OEM battery instead. Our vacuum came with the standard 3.0 Ah battery, which did not quite get the whole house clean before a recharge. This 4.0 Ah can get get the house vacuumed with plenty of charge to spare. Instead of two 3.0 batteries, get this one and you will be set!

After following instructions and left it for overnight charging. It never got charged and got 1st and 3rd light on the display meaning battery error according to the internet. I requested a replacement but I have to go through the seller by e-mail as Amazon don't have the power to replace that item. Would not recommend. If I get my replacement this review might change. After reading reviews I feel like those batteries are like a Russian roulette game.
