Mak Tok Authentic Gourmet Malaysian Satay Chilli Paste

I like the taste, it's spicy but manageable. I used it with teriyaki tofu and it worked perfectly, highly recommend

Tastes very similar to home ☺️. Arrived safely it did not leak. Good value with the quality taste of the product. Would definitely be buying again! Not too spicy, 4.5/10 spice, definitely enjoyable. People who can handle spice well would definitely need a higher level of spice.

Was nice, easy to make and tasted good. Shame not in shops so you grab as you go but easy to buy through amazon.

So I usually buy a different brand of Sambal for nasi lemak but times got desperate and my usual Chinese supermarket is miles away so I thought I’d try this brand. Oh my gosh it is SO tasty, even better than the brand I was using before. Slightly milder chilli but really well balanced. I will be buying more from MakTok definitely going forward. Yes there was some oil on the bubble wrap when it arrived but the jar was unbroken and the seals were intact so it doesn’t matter. What matters is the taste!! And look at how happy he is on the label!

Found quite bland when following satay curry recipe provided, not sure if it would be better as a dipping sauce. Not much peanut flavour and more spicy than expected. Sadly wouldn’t buy again.

Prior to purchasing this I searched for authentic versions in my local asian grocery shops and failed to find anything that matched the quality and authenticity of these two products.My staple of fried rice is now on a different level. Huge thanks to Will and the Mak Tok team. 🤙🤘Summary: I would absolutely recommend Mak Tok's Sambal + Rendang if you're desiring to add some intense flavours to your dish.Notable: my Rendang jar was fairly oily / smelled on the outside upon unwrapping it. Perhaps an error in the factory or during transit.

Very lovely taste. This paste is fantastic and I will be buying this more often.The jar looks small but is perfect size if you want to cook for 2 or 3 people. There is a barcode on the jar you can scan it, it takes you to the seller website where you can find loads of dishes and instructions on how to make them. Easy to follow stepsI did beef according to the instructions found on the seller website and it was delicious. Will be buying this again next time I want to cook oriental
