Works on Savage 64 with some fitting
The sight is great, good quality, good value, fiber optic pipe is bright. On Savage 64 it WILL require fitting! Savage cuts their dovetail very deep and does NOT flatten the top of the barrel, which leaves it round. The underside of the sight is flat. This WILL leave a gap between the sight and barrel and bottom of the dovetail. I had to file the bottom of the sight to fit it. Take you're time! I used the .450 sight. It is taller than factory (which got broken off) but can be corrected by raising the rear sight 2-3 notches. Sight picture is great, the sight is good quality and works well!

Get front sight
This sight replaced my sons original front sight on his Marlin 30/30 with ease. He and I both like the enhanced view of the fluorescent orange glow.

Nice quality at a low price.
Purchased two of these sights. They are nicely made by Marble Arms. They do require some filing to fit so be patient. Every dovetail is different. Some require some filing, some slide right in. Well-worth the cost to replace a plain front sight.

too tight to fit
the sight, which was supposed to fit a marlin 1895 xlr rifle, was too big to fit properly and as a result when tapping it into the slot, the front screw broke off leaving me with a much bigger problem. Now I have to find a gunsmith or machinist to drill out the broken screw and replace it.
