I tried connecting two solo monitors to my Mac Pro. Failed. I tried using my Mac pro with my Mac book next to it. Too much clunkiness. Was going to go buy a whole seperate iMac for a second screen- too expensive. The I found mountie+. As I was waiting for it to arrive I was sooo skeptical. I honestly didn’t think it could work. I was a little confused with the directions, but it worked - and it worked good. I use it with my iPad and it uses sidecar. The only thing I don’t like about it is the iPad has to go horizontal instead of vertical and there is probably a fix to this and I have to idea. I would highly recommend Mountie for anyone that is looking to add a second device to your laptop. My search is over and I’m hooked on Mountie+

I really wanted to use this product despite the reviews that said it causes excessive pressure on the monitor, even on the thinnest setting. I bought it and tried it. It does hold an extra monitor well, but I noticed my monitor on my Laptop starting to change colors where it was clamped in. I tried all the different sized pads it came with but they where all still too tight. I made my own pads using some tape to see if I could salvage this product, but unless it's tight enough to clamp on, and put stress on the laptop monitor, it will not stay in place. This product might work better for a monitor that has a half inch or wider border that can be clamped without causing damage to the monitor.

Love the mountie...only dislike is how easily the pieces that keep it mounted fall apart. You also cannot buy just the grips...you have to repurchase the whole thing.

This accesory to make my ipad a second monitor is a great accesory. However, when trying to plug it in to charge while having it on the mount does not work for me. I'm using a windows laptop so maybe that coudl be it? but I'm sure other accesories can have it better.

Works great to extend my 13” MacBook Pro using a 6th gen iPad! Simple to use, highly adjustable to any device, and exactly what I was looking for once sidecar became a reality (Duet app also makes this possible for older machines). Holds strong and doesn’t leave a mark, and I’ve really pushed this thing by shaking my computer and such, and it holds like it’s glued there. Could be a little cheaper given how little actual stuff this thing is made of, but I guess FYI I gotta pay a little for the idea and perfect execution... if you have an iPad and a MacBook, this is a MUST.

I bought it attach my iPad Pro (1st gen) as a second screen to my MacBook Pro, but there are two problems that keep from using it more. First, it holds the the iPad at an angle so it's not in the same plane as my laptop screen. Not a huge deal, but it looks weird unless the laptop screen is straight up (90 deg). I usually have mine tilted back. I use a laptop stand to elevate the laptop screen and can keep the screen at 90 deg, but then the second problem comes up. The iPad is just heavy enough that when oriented in landscape position, it's on the verge of tipping everything over. My stand is basically only supported on 3 points like this. There are probably some quick fixes, but I was really hoping it would work simply and the way I wanted to use it.

It is a great idea. But the product broke right out of the box. Which is disappointing. I bought it to use my portable monitor. They also say they have a variety of pads to use but it appears I was missing A from the package. Good concept poor design with very then plastic parts that break when you go to change the pads to achieve that perfect fit. Considering what I paid for it, I would not expect it to break on first use. Edit: I contacted Ten One about the issue. They were fantastic. I included the pictures and they were quick to resolve the issue and get a replacement sent. Excellent customer service! Edited: I stopped using the secondary monitor with my laptop. I started to use my laptop again with the secondary monitor. The first time out the box, even with me being very careful the arm broke off before I ever got to use it. I really wanted to love this device. When it works it's great. But its VERY Fragile!!!! Too fragile. You should be able to change and adjust the pad thickness without the whole darn arm falling off. UGH!!!

After reading some of the reviews, I was a little nervous ordering this product - however upon receiving a using, this is a great thought out product that works really well. This product is fantastic for travelling and works perfectly with my iPad and Macbook Air.

Use it to hold an iPad Air 2 as a second monitor. The hold is solid. Just be aware of the added weight may throw the balance of your laptop off.

Entgegen vieler anderer Bewertungen kann ich diverse Probleme mit Festem Halten oder Druckstellen nicht bestätigen. Ich benutze ein Mac Book Pro 15" 2019 und ein iPad Pro M1 12,9" 2021. Wo ich auch immer den Halter angebracht habe, er war/ist fest genug um ein schweres iPad Pro zu halten. Natürlich geht das auch mit einem iPhone 13 Pro, neuste Funktion bei IOS 16.1, dass die Kamera des iPhones als Facetimekamera genutzt werden kann. Beigelegt sind noch dreierlei unterschiedlich dicker Gummipuffer. Ich konnte direkt diese nutzen die schon bei Lieferung montiert waren. In den Bilder habe ich auch mal die maximalen Stellungswinkel hinterlegt, solange bis das Scharnier des Mac Book Pro nachgelassen haben. Ich bin rundum zufrieden, genau das was ich gesucht und gefunden habe. OK, die Halter könnten etwas billiger sein, aber sonst. Ach eines noch was ich überflüssig finde, die Kabel Durchführung. Die braucht man eigentlich nicht, denn es ist gar nicht möglich ein Ladekabel einzustecken wenn der Halter aktiv zwei Geräte miteinander zusammen hält, ein Beinbruch ist das jedoch nicht :) Nachtrag 04.12.2022 Die Kabeldurchführung klappt doch mit dem Ladekabel, aber schon eng geworden das spiel 😁

I'd have to admit, I had my doubts and was wondering if it was worth the price. Now that I have received it, I feel it is worth it! Very solid construction and doesn't feel flimsy at all. Solid product! Also, I was wondering if it would have an angle to it because the last magnetic one I had didn't and the iPad was like at the same angle as the laptop. I would have preferred it to be at least at a slight angle. And yes! As you can see in the pictures, there is. And also teh angle allows for the charging cable to be attached while using it. Prefect! Love it!
