Hard to find this product in the grocery stores anymore! I see now it may no longer be available on Amazon either? That’s very disappointing! It’s a great product if you prefer a malted milkshake rather than just a plain milkshake. And if you’ve never had a malted milkshake I recommend you try one!

Carnation Malted Milk gives you your money’s worth. There was a time when malted milk was more popular then I think some fast food places to save money began serving shakes. There is no comparison. There was a time not too long ago that “malts” were served and they were so delicious, with chocolate, vanilla and strawberry being the most common flavors, although some places had more delightful frozen concoctions. This comes in a 40-oz container and will last for a while. If purchased at a grocery store, the amount per jar is a lot less and the cost is a lot more than this. This is a product that kids will remember after just one taste. I like making smoothies with it. It’s very simple to do with a blender, a little milk, a little vanilla extract and ice cubes. To the mix you can add protein powder or a banana. I also add a little soy lecithin which acts as an emulsifier. This thickens it. You can experiment with the amount of milk and ice to achieve a frozen desert that tastes much richer than it is. The blender will make the ice cubes mix in very smoothly. If you want something sweet and cold, it’s so simple to make and the flavor is unbelievably good.
