Very fun puzzle; good quality
Reading the somewhat mixed reviews for this puzzle, I was kind of worried about this YJ puzzle's quality. But I am really into 3x3 shape mods right now, and I decided to buy it anyway. I have had it for a couple of days now, and solved it a few times. I just did a solve and it took me over 4 minutes, and I solve a normal 3x3 in around 45 seconds. A big reason of the difference in time isn't that it is a really difficult puzzle-- it's only a bit more challenging than a 3x3 (more on this later)-- but that it's awkward to turn very quickly when it's scrambled. This is not the puzzle's fault, because turning is really smooth, and can corner cut depending on the direction (because of the shape of the pieces, sometimes corner cutting is impossible and you need to make sure it is lined up correctly-- but if you get a lockup, I find you can quickly fix it by doing a very small turn in the opposite direction, which through corner cutting will align the puzzle, then continue the turn the other way). The stickers are much more than normal stickers, almost like tiles. They seem to be peel resistant, at least for now. Colors are good, sticker/tiles are all placed properly on the cubies. One thing interesting with the puzzle is that when I first solved it, I finished PLL with a U-perm... which rotated one of the outward facing center pieces 180 degrees. I did come up with an algorithm to fix this. I won't spoil it for you but if you want a hint it involves that pattern you can make with different colored center pieces...Center caps can be removed fairly easily, they have never popped off during a solve though. Don't be tempted to take one off and put it back the other way if you encounter what I described above... that's cheating.Great puzzle, lots of fun, new twist on a 3x3. I recommend it.

Awesome Cube / Great Fun
This puzzle is tons of fun. I really enjoy solving this one. So much so, that it is the only one of my puzzles I have touched since I received it about a week ago. For the record, I also own a Pyraminx, a Skewb, a 2x2 cube, 3x3 cube, 4x4 cube and 5x5 cube. This windmill cube is more fun than all of them combined. This is just my personal opinion of course. This windmill cube turns great right out of the box (once you figure out how to turn it). It cuts corners as well as I imagine it can given the dynamics of it. The color scheme is fine (a little dark for my liking but it is fine). I just prefer the brighter neon-like colors of the Moyu cubes. You can adjust the tension by removing the center caps like you would for most other cubes. However, I didn't need to adjust the tension OR add any lube as it turns well enough for me as it is.The ONLY issue I have with this puzzle is that the angled center caps pop off WAY too easily. They are popping off all the time. I am okay with it (sort of) because I am not a "Speed Cuber". I just like to solve these puzzles in my own time. It can be annoying at times though. For example, I was solving it last night while sitting on the couch and a center cap popped off and bounced under the couch. So, of course, I had to get up and retrieve it. But, other than minor annoyances like that, this puzzle is still loads of fun and I highly recommend it. OR ..... maybe if you are looking to purchase a windmill cube ..... you should try a more expensive version from another manufacturer? Maybe the center caps of a more expensive cube won't pop off as easily?

Jeez this thing is fierce.
Come on! I can hardly figure out how to solve one side. It's ridiculous. This sucker can get into some awful crazy shapes too. It's ruthless. If you pick up this bad boy you had better clear your calendar for a whole Saturday. It seems to be pretty well made though. I haven't had any feeling that the pieces were going to pop apart or anything. You do have to be gentle with it because some of the wedges can orient themselves sideways which prevents a certain axis from turning and you could potentially pop something out. But other than that, it's a perfectly good puzzle. It is also very rewarding when you finally figure out how to solve it. A definite must for the collector!

Awesome! But caps fall off after some use.
Great puzzle, good construction, good action. I can recommend it. However, do yourself a favor and purchase model cement. Each part is hollow and has a cap on it, which the sticker is applied to. I have purchased two of these because the caps just fell off the first one. If you let children play with these, expect to lose at least one cap. That's what happened to me. In any case, As the caps fall off the new one, I have been cementing them with model cement/glue. Works great. Solves the problem of poor engineering. If the caps didn't fall off, I'd totally give this a 5 star.

Simple and lots of fun
The quality is very good. It turns smoothly, corner cuts most of the time (sometimes the weird shapes don't let it, but that's not really a problem), and the stickers seem to be very tough. As for difficulty, it's a 3x3 on the inside. So if you can solve a 3x3 you can solve this. It might take some time to wrap your brain around the new shape, but you'll get it. The only difference is that on this puzzle, unlike a standard 3x3, center piece rotations matter. What this means is you'll need to add an extra step on to your solve process. It's not hard. If you can solve a normal cube you probably already know the algorithm you need.

gr8 cube m8, i r8 8/8
This is a great puzzle It is solved like a normal 3x3 cube and you just have to adjust the way you look at it. This is as fun as the mirror cube. It is very smooth and fast. The one I got was a bit loose, but it was easily fixed because the screws were accessible. Just note that opening the center caps will be a bit difficult unless you have a sharp knife to pry it open. The picture shows that the mechanism is just like a Rubik's cube. I mostly got it just to add it to my collection, but it's still a very fun puzzle whether you're a beginner or speed cuber. I highly recommend this cube.
