Wow. This was perfect. Got a chip/crack at th bottom of the windshield (on the black part) that Safelite said they couldn’t repair since their machine was too big and needed more clearance and they recommended to wait until it cracks more and just replace the entire windshield. Saw this on Amazon for cheap and decided to try it. Was easy to apply. Instructions were clear, although bring some paper towels to catch run off of the resin. It’s small profile fit fine over the cracked area and lining it up was the hardest part since hard to see down on the car (could have gotten a step stool probably). Applied and let sit. Then took outside to sit in sun with a few more drops and the clear plastic over it. 30 minutes total to do. And can’t see the cracks just a slight color change on the hole where it was in middle. Can’t feel anything either with fingers. Included razor blade and stuff made getting excess off easily. Took before and after pictures. Super happy and I think this will prevent it from cracking more and save me from having to buy a new windshield for a while.

Great kit for the price. Comes with what you need for average household, Worked great on two simple chips in one afternoon, on two different vehicles that both got chipped in the last week. I'm in the mountain west USA, and these are the kind of chip I like to forget about and then months later (after a winter of freeze-thaw cycles) realize there's a giant crack spreading across my windshield. This is definitely the way to go. $12 on this kit and under 30 minutes of my time. Vs driving it to a repair shop for $35-$60 (for one simple chip repair) and waiting 30-45 minutes. SKILL REQUIRED - I consider myself somewhat handy with tools and machines, but by no means do I have a workshop or anything. I know which way to turn a wrench, how to clean a p-trap under my sink, and I can follow good instructions. I found this very easy to do; much easier than I expected. INSTRUCTION QUALITY - Written in clear English. I like to laugh at the imperfect (Chinese?) translations of most products, but didn't notice any. EASY to read. I read it all the way through before starting, then during install only had to glance at the handy highlighted sections to remind me the order of the steps. TIME REQUIRED - The whole process for two vehicles with small chips took about 45 minutes from when I opened the package and started to read the instructions. My next repair would take only about 20 minutes, which counts the steps of waiting for 5 minutes, then waiting for 10 minutes. KIT INCLUDES - Everything you really need. I also used my own (optional) heat gun, but a warm blow-dryer would probably work better with less risk of extending cracks because of thermal expansion. QUALITY - The repair is sturdy and smooth, and I'm confident it will prevent further cracking and spreading. For an at-home kit, this one deserves full marks. I probably could have slightly better visual results by going to a professional shop (duh?) and having someone do it who has done this 100 times. The two chips I did are still slightly visible in the center, but even the ones that I got repaired last year at a glass place are still slightly visible. Honestly, in this area it's hard to compare apples to apples, so-to-speak. I probably should have taken before/after photos, but just "after" photos don't do much justice. I already bought another to have on hand. Definitely worth it.

The Rain-X Windshield Repair Kit did exactly what I needed it to do for a chip I got in my car windshield, especially considering the timing. I used this kit to deal with a small star chip, and I was particularly concerned about it spreading during the cold winter months. I'm happy to report that the kit performed very well in stopping the damage from spreading. Since applying the resin, the chip has remained stable, preventing it from turning into a long, dangerous crack, which is a huge relief and definitely the most important job this kit had. The Reality Check: Now, for expectations: while it stabilized the chip, it's important to understand that the crack is not gone and the spot is not completely invisible. You can still see the repaired area when you look closely. It's not a magic eraser that makes the glass flawless again, but it greatly minimizes the visibility and, crucially, reinforces the area. Summary: If you have a small chip or starburst and your main goal is to prevent it from spreading and turning into an expensive replacement job, this Rain-X kit is a great, reliable, and quick solution. It was a worthwhile investment that saved my windshield from getting worse during the winter. Just remember that it’s a repair, not an un-do button!

The kit does the job. I got it through amazon becuase I didn't want to cough up 20 dollars for a kit from my local autozone. The instructions were detailed and made it very easy to follow and also very detailed as well. The one thing is if you are going to store it make sure the resin bottle is facing up. Otherwise you'll have resin all over whererver you store this thing. Also don't expect any mirables from this, if you really want the crack to dissapear you need to get a new one BUTTTTT this one did the job for now.

I have use multiple of these windshield repair kits now. This one is by far the best. Using it was easy, and the system really gives good pressure to let the resin sink into the glass. It reduces the appearance by roughly 90%. It's also not messy since the resin doesn't cure unless it's under sunlight (unlike the permatex one which I would assume is just super glue) if you rinse out the applicator this is good for five cracks or more. The other image was of the fix I made with the permatex, the syringe base fell off and was leaking and I could not stick it back on because the resin dried on the base and is no longer sticky. I could only slather the super glue over it and wish it stops the crack. In short, it didn't. TLDR: don't buy the permatex, buy this. This is not messy, not single-use and certainly works

Das Ergebnis war gut. Ich habe die Anweisungen im YouTube-Video befolgt und keine UV-Lampe verwendet. Ich habe tatsächlich nur fünf bis sechs Tropfen benutzt. Hoffentlich brauche ich es später nicht mehr. :)

Applicato secondo le istruzioni, applicato un foglietto protettivo, fatto asciugare e ripulito con la lametta tenuta a 45°. Mia moglie non è più stata in grado di identificare il danno. Veramente efficace.

Bonjour. J'ai utilisé dans mon cas ce produit pour un impact rond avec une mini fissure 0.5 mm pas plus. J'ai respecté scrupuleusement la notice ( qui est en anglais et que j'ai donc traduit pour ne pas faire de bêtises ). Si l'on respecte les consignes qui sont au passage très simple tous se passe bien. La résine sèche très bien si l'on respecte tjr les consignes. Moi mis au soleil et très bien. Mon impact et très bien réparer on le vois maintenant plus comparer au reste des petit coup du quotidien sur le pare-brise. Et pour avoir déjà fait réparer des impacts le resultat et largement équivalent. Reste a juger sur la durée. Et je répète bien traduire la notice pour être efficace. Quand a la quantité de résine c'est très correct pour ma part. Donc par rapport à mon expérience je ne peut que recommander ce produit. Salut
