Johnson PumpSPX Flow Ultima Combo Bilge Pump 750GPH, 12V, 12V

My vote at three stars for easy to install was dues to the cramped space where it was installed along with a bunch of hoses sitting on top of the pump. In a situation, not cramped, this pump would be a snap to install.

I was updating everything in my boat and this pump was easy to install in a small bilge area and easy to wire up. You will need an inline fuse holder for the direct positive connection.

Great pump for the money, would rate 5 stars but the directions are mildly confusing with the switch built in. They should just tell you flat out how to wire it based on what kind of switch you have. My boat's dash has a simple on-off switch. The lead for automatic needs to run straight to the battery (with inline fuse), and the rest of the leads are very straightforward. The nice part about this auto-switch is that you can test it's automatic function before you shrink-wrap everything to ensure you've got it wired right. There are two fingertip sized contacts on the side of the switch ... if you place your fingers on both it acts as water would, completing the circuit and turning on the pump automatically. Water will need to go below the bottom contact before it turns off (you'll need to remove both fingers to get it to turn off while testing). Works flawlessly now! Clean your bilge while you're down there ... it makes these impellers last a lot longer!

Fine pump. Bought to replace one just like it that was stepped on one too many times. I really like being able to open from the top to remove debris. I use this on my duck hunting boat and I clean out dog hair, grass, etc. often.This float switch type is new to me so I have no experience with it.

Great unit. Works as advertised. I love that we were able to clip the Ultima switch to the existing pump housing using the built-in slots rather than having to remove the old housing and drill more holes. Good design!

Because I already had a johnson bilge pump on the boat this was a 20-30 min job. Very easy to swap out and even upgrade.

I used this to replace our pump on my Bennington Pontoon boat. Fit great.
