My child learned cursive briefly while in public school as a youngster, now as a home-schooled teen, we are re-learning the art of cursive with this easy to use instructional book. It is user friendly and gives lots of room for practicing letters, words and sentences. The author even takes time to personally email you ( you have to email her first ), with tons of supplemental worksheets, a certificate of completion, and even practice sheets with your child's name - so they can work on having a superb signature! This book is an excellent resource for 1st time learners, or those who need to re-learn what was taught to them. I highly recommend the book and the author was very kind to share additional printable materials. A+, two thumbs up for this helpful book to learn cursive handwriting!

This book really helped my son with his cursive

I bought this for my son who needed a refresher on cursive writing. It provides lots of practice and has a nice flow from individual letters, to words, to sentences, then paragraphs. Some of the letters are not really demonstrated correctly so we had to discuss those errors. Overall a good tool for the price. I would not recommend this for someone totally new to cursive script.

All of my children, except one, earned their pen license by learning cursive in Grade 5. The year my daughter hit Grade 5 the school chose to stop teaching cursive. The following year they decided it was important again, but did not bother to correct that skill shortage for those kids who had missed out. These books are addressing that gap in her knowledge. I firmly believe it is a necessary skill for adults to have.
