Q: Can you slide the leg supports to fit a larget tank? I have a 35" tank and want to buy the 30" light, will I be able to fit it?

You can slide the legs out a little bit, but not five inches worth. Best to go with the 36" model.

Q: Is this light made in China?

??? Chicago based company, nothing on outside states where it was made. Good bright light and color, grows plants easily!

Q: My tanks actual size is 35.5". Will the 36" fit this slightly smaller size?

Yes, it may just look a little bit funny as the light will stick out a little bit on each side and the legs may sit a little in a little bit from where you want them to but it will work.

Q: What lid can be used with these lights on a basic 20 gallon tank with a hang on the back filter?

You’re better off going to the tank manufacturers site to find a lid for the tank. The light mounts outside of the tank frame so you may be limited to a glass top (possibly hinged) that fits inside of the black frame to accommodate the Stingy mounting outside of the frame.
