3rd Edit: After another 2 months, this thing is phenomenal! I ran into an issue with the Alarm detection not going thru. I reached out to Merlin the support rep and he helped me get it back. He responded fast and was very helpful! I bumped the review up from 4 to 5 because of his support and because of how well this camera has held up! I have purchased 3 different spy cameras since for other rooms, and all 3 of them have been returned due to none functional motion detection or quality issues. You will not be disappointed with this camera! For a spy cam at the price it is very well built, has great quality video and working motion detection!Follow Up to Edit: After swapping out the SD card for another one. I found out it was the SD card and not the Camera. The camera I must say has done really well, as it has been hidden in a small pouch area without any air too cool it down, and it has been running 24/7 (Plugged in) for over a month without any issues!!! For that, I am bumping the star rating up from 3 to 4. As that is impressive for electronics to still work with no air flow to cool it down.Edit: After using it got a while the camera stops allowing you to view or even remove the recorded video. Even after SD card reformatting you still can't get the video off of the card. Note: it could be the app or the sd card and not the camera. But thought I would mention it without reducing rating.Orig: The camera is a nice small size for easy hiding. It records sound and even can listen and view the camera via the app.Get yourself a large storage card as a backup. But you can view the video on the sd card via the app, which is nice.The Pros:Can fit 128gb sd card.Can view recorded videos on the sd remotely via the app.It records sound as well.You can view and hear live feed via the app.Easy setup.Small and easy to hide.Only a small light next to the charging port when plugged in. Easily covered by tap.Can extend the camera about 6 inch away from the base.Night vision is actually pretty good without producing any light.The motion detection has multiple levels of sensitivity and at the highest it is really good.24/7 record OR motion record OR timed record.Picture taken on motion detection.Easily change settings via the app.The cons:The battery life is really bad, so get a 10,000 battery pack and your golden for a day or more.I get between 4 and 7 FPS on average with sometimes up to 10 FPS.Not really a con, but a tip: it only works on 2.4ghz wifi.

There are too many big problems with this item.If you bought something you intend to be stealthy, or hard to see, you need to consider two things that aren't obvious in the product description.1) The battery life is very, very, short. You will not be able to leave it anywhere for more than 3 or 4 hours without a cord going to a power outlet being present. This not only adds visibility to the camera, but limits the number of places you can leave it for any time more than 3 hours.2) The square part containing the camera does not detach from the round base completely. It must remain attached by a very thin, flimsy, and delicate flat cable. It can easily be broken if pulled on with any force. The size altogether of the camera and base is about the size of the top edge of a medium sized person's fist.Even if stealth is less of a concern for you, there's more problems that will frustrate you.The phone app is absolutely necessary to use this camera. There is no way to set the camera to record to a removable media without it. That would be ok, but the app crashes any time you use it for more than 5 minutes, and what's worse than that, the functions for setting rules for recording are confusing and not at all explained in the manual. Can I have it record only when motion is detected? Can I record more than just a 30 second clip? Can I tell it stop and start recording at my convenience? No idea. The manual itself neglects to address how the different recording functions work, and everything that is in there is written poorly anyway.Altogether this product only works in a very limited capacity after a lot of unreasonable extra homework done on the buyer's part. Considering this, it is way way overpriced. If I had known what I was buying before hand, I would not have spent more than 30 dollars after shipping and tax for this.The person I am talking to in support refuses to even answer when I ask for a refund, I just keep getting advice on how to make it work that I have already taken, and has not resolved my issues. Never have i felt buyer's remorse like this.Avoid buying it.

I choose this camera because the reviews were awesome and the advertisement was great. However, the instructions were poor for an old-timer like myself, so I spent days studying Wifi and other internet keywords to get the motion detection to work. I could not activate the motion detection (even with a new SD card inserted - more money) from the ESmartHome app. I also tried to use my church Wifi network, and still could not activate motion detection. I explored using Xfinity wifi but the hefty monthly fee was to expensive for me. Their web site did not have customer support. The Ehome app said motion detection "Not supported in AP mode" . I also downloaded the Wifi Map App with passwords support (which did not provide the passwords). I so much wanted this camera to work and feel sad and frustrated. I guess I need a camera for dummies, or at least a youtube video for this S93 that explaines "solutions for the "Not supported in AP mode" or how to tap into wifi NETWORK for free. In continuouse run mode, I thought the camera rans to hot. If you have strong Wifi in place and are technically savy - this may be the camera for you. Sadly, I am returning the camera.
