Best book for embryology Step 1 Review
This book is just amazing. It is easy to follow and the picture diagrams and illustrations are perfectly placed to keep the reader awake and engaged. My prof who I beleive is the best, recommended this book as the Gold Standard and I can see why when I compare it to the others.

Just not a well-written book…
Similar to my review of Langman, this book, which is one use by the national Board of chiropractic examiners, is just not well written and can't tell a good story. It's all over the place, just like Langman. If you bought both of these books, you would get a better story but still not a great story. Student still wouldn't understand embryology well at all, at no fault of their own.If I had to pick one, it would be Carlson which is by far the most comprehensive and tells a pretty good story. The problem with that one is that it uses different terminology sometimes, compared to Langman and Moore – the two national Board of chiropractic examiner books.Taken from an associate professor who is trying to build an advanced class on embryology, the only way to achieve this is to buy all five books (Larsen, Langman, Moore, Carlson, and Singh), read them, and then slowly put together your PowerPoint slides. You'll get a pretty good story this way. Somebody who is a good storyteller needs to write a good embryology book.
