Nice for classroom.

I bought these for my 4th grade son to use for his STEM project. They are very accurate and durable.

It's a nice learning product, but I wish the case had arrived intact as a place to store them. The warehouse person must have thrown it into the box with our other educational purchases and shattered the case it was in. Since that's not the fault of the manufacturer etc. I won't mark them down for it. offers great visuals for kids! will get a lot of use out of these.

There is a 1g tolerance as you go from the metal weights to the plastic weights, so if you're using this to teach about balances, you will need to explain the difference. Likely, the plastic coating on the metal weights was not accounted for.Still, it sits in our dining room, and the kids (5 and 8) are having a blast weighing everything, comparing weights, and understanding the fundamentals of algebra. (To do that, get a true 2-sided balance, and talk about taking 3 grams from both sides will leave the sides still in balance -- then write it down as an equation, and taking away 3 from both sides. Talk about difference vs absolute measurements, etc...) This is a math toy rather than just a science toy in our home.

Works great in a third grade classroom. Students can use easily, and it's very helpful for giving them a good idea of how much a gram versus a kilogram weighs.

They were great for my third grade class to tell the difference between a gram and kilogram. CCSS has us teaching metric mass and these were a necessity. There are more weights than I needed, but the kids loved playing/learning with them

Bought these to use with balance scale for students who struggle with algebra. They work well for that.
