I have taken two classes using this book. I already knew some German so I can speak to how inadequate this book is. Why do publishers think it's a good idea to use NO English for instructions of explanations? It is tedious and distracting to look up every word, and that may lead to incorrect translations. There is NO grammar -- how does a student learn without also learning some basic grammar? Concepts are not explained, and there are no drills to bolster memory. The book doesn't explain a topic and doesn't stay on a topic long enough for the student to understand it. The pages are wildly cluttered and disorganized, and the fonts are too small, too light and too "decorative" in some cases to be readable. The conversations are like chalk-on-a-blackboard -- do I need to know how to discuss a teenager who hates her mother or a boy whose girlfriend has gotten pregnant? I don't need so much art, either. Using three books is a pain in the neck. Sorry, but all true.

C'est exactement le livre conseillé par un enseignant d'université. Il était en excellent état.

Really nice book, HOWEVER this is not a self study book. You would need a teacher to help you out and the kursbuch. For self study books there are other options such as Grammatik Aktiv.

Es un libro de ejercicios muy util para complementar con el aprendizaje que se van adquiriendo mediante el Menschen Kursbuch. Contiene 2 CD con los audios necesarios.

È un libro ben fatto per principianti che vogliono imparare il tedesco. Però deve essere sempre seguito da un professore che spiega la grammatica . Da soli non si riesce. Io lo studio per motivi personali e lavoro. Lo consiglio a chi cerca di migliorare.
