It just arrived. Was fulfilled by Amazon.The irony in all of this. It was scheduled to show up after the 9th.I've been extensively prepping. Had just received the final parts I needed yesterday to build a UV-C Sterilization Unit.Planned on getting started on it today after a nap.RIP Me.

Work as should for my application, haven't used much at this time

It was missing the probe,And unclear instructions

The controller works fine but the SSR was dead on arrival, it's latched open so that regardless of the input voltage the heater keeps heating ...

This is some kind of clone unit that does not have the normal functionality the manual shows. You can't unlock the parameters so you you get how it comes and that's it. Can't unlock the parameters, can't change temp unit, can't utilize auto tune. Do not purchase. None of the manuals online will help because they simply don't apply to this unit.

First off, I will say that my experience started off a little rough. The unit was not assembled properly (one of the SSR terminals was in the wrong spot and after some head scratching I figured it out) Would have returned it but I was leaving for a few months and wanted to see it working.Once I got it hooked up, very easy to do IF the terminals are in the right spot, I was amazed at how well it worked. I use my oven to powder coat and cure composite parts, and it was very hard to control in the past. After one cycle, this controller was able to reach and maintain the exact temp and only over shot by 1ºC. I was blown away.The kit I got came with the controller, a thermocouple and the appropriate SSR (solid state relay) I have terrible luck with odd issues and would give this 5 out of 5 IF it would have came with the terminals in the right spot.

Nice little controller, figured out how to change from celsius to fahrenheit, looking good, I needed it to control 2 oven elements to build a powder coating oven. First attempt to load both on the same SSR melted the SSR and the controller (see picture). Bottom line it will not support more than 20A even if mounted on heat sink and if you can, use a fan to keep it cool. I build a second unit, bullet proof! Each element connected to one SSR to split the load, used heat sinks and a fan, everything ordered through Amazon. It runs fine and cool. I included pictures and the wiring diagram used. I have been using it now for 8 months. I had to replace the power switch also because the first one melted as well, I order the grey one that has a metal case on Amazon, much better quality for few extra bucks but you will buy only one which is cheaper (see picture). You can buy electric wires that support up to 600 degres F. The temperature measurement is off a little bit but I use a second thermometer so I can compensate. Take your time and build it safe !
