Very Large Clock
We needed an LCD clock visible from across a 40 foot room and this unit was exactly the right option. It is plenty big and very readable even at 40 feet, with the exception of the AM/PM indicator (which of course isn't necessary unless you work in a 24hr casino!). Set up is very easy using the buttons on the side of the unit. I downgraded the clock to 4 stars because the battery for the remote arrived dead (or the remote itself is dead--no way to test it out as the battery it takes is uncommon enough that I didn't have an alternate). In any case, I won't be using the unit for an alarm clock and so having a remote isn't necessary. One thing worth noting is that this unit also accepts a 9-volt battery, but the 9-volt isn't sufficient to power the clock. Strangely, you need to open the battery compartment to run in the AC power. Nothing in the Amazon description or the small instruction sheet explains the purpose of this 9-volt connection. One could assume that it is there to power the clock if AC power runs out, but I tested this by unplugging the clock and it immediately died. It made me wonder if the clock's case is used for more than one type of clock, some of which are capable of using a 9-volt battery.Pros:1) Large, easy to read clock surface2) Easy set-up using the units built in buttons3) Attractive and simple aestheticsCons:1) Arrived with dead remote battery (or a defective remote--I did not test the remote with a new battery)2) Has a mysterious 9-volt battery connector that seems to power nothing at all3) Supporting literature consists of a tiny slip of paper that is printed in about size 8 font. Since this is a large sized LCD, it's fair to assume many of its purchasers will be those with impaired vision. It's likely most of them won't be able to read the clock instructions. Coupled with the confusing 9-volt connection, there is a strong potential for frustration for some purchasers.Summary:Overall this is a great, large, LED wall clock. Aside from a few quirks, it does its primary function very well. Recommended to anyone that needs a high-visibility wall clock.

not a good wall clock
I know this is advertised as a wall clock but since it doesn't run on battery alone, I wouldn't use it that way. It has a cord that needs to be plugged in and I don't want a cord running down the wall. I was disappointed because I would have loved to have had this clock. If you have a shelf or something to set it on, I think you will be very happy with it.

PERFECT DISPLAY BUT CLOCK'S TIME WILL EVENTUALLY SLOW
Really like this wall clock with its large display of bright red numbers; the only slight problem with it I have found, over time, is that the clock's time will slow about a minute or two. The remote control makes changing the time, etc., a cinch; I can even do all of this in my bed (I am bedridden and the clock is located in my bedroom). My vision and focus are weak and poor, especially in the night and mornings, so I do appreciate its big, bright red numbers.I have a neuro-muscular disease, called Friedreich's Ataxia, which is supposedly supported by MDA. It involves the progressive loss of coordination and muscle strength, leading to motor incapacitation and the use of a wheelchair at an early age. In my experience, MDA is a JOKE and a FRAUD; they simply exploit us for their own selfish monetary gain. MDA will use HYPE in an attempt to make everyone think they are far ahead of efforts to combat my disease. During my lifetime of 47 years, realistically, MDA has done NOTHING for my disease - NOT EVEN A SIMPLE TREATMENT! Considering the many years I've dealt with MDA, I can say that they are nothing but a seriously GREEDY organization. To reiterate, I am fond of this unique wall clock despite its minor delay in timing.

Great AC Wall Clock
I am thrilled with this clock. Some of the comments by other reviewers for this clock are deceiving.1) Yes it is an AC clock. As the description says it comes with a 10 foot power cord. I love it since I am tired of replacing batteries on my other wall clocks every two months. It also has a 12/24 hour mode switch in case you prefer military time. You can set the time/alarm on the back of the clock or through use of the remote. A bracket was supplied that allows it to be placed on a bookshelf, desk, or table. Otherwise it can be mounted on a wall using the notch on the back side.2) A 9V battery in this clock only preserves the time during a power outage. It does not power the LED's. If you lose power, the alarm will still function even though you can't see the current time. The clock did not come with a 9V battery. You must supply it yourself3) The remote is very simple to use. You simply press the alarm button continuously while pressing the the hour or minute buttons to adjust the alarm time. The time is set in a similar manner except you press the Time button instead. The alarm toggles off/on with a single button. The remote also has a snooze button. The remote came with a standard CR2032 battery which will only function after you remove the plastic insert.4) The LED's on this clock are fine to me. If you buy a clock with LED's this big, you can assume, they will put out slightly more light than a smaller clock. Mine does not illuminate the room, but the red LED's do stand out clearly.*EDIT* My clock is now over a year old and still working fine.*EDIT* My clock is now over two years old and still works great.*EDIT* My clock is now around 3-1/2 years old and still works great

Randomly turns on alarm after I turn button to off position!
This clock worked fine for a year or two. I do not use it as an alarm as it the sound is very annoying so I kept the alarm off, or so I thought. Now it randomly turns the alarm on and I'm awaken by an awful noise. I turn the alarm OFF and randomly, three to five days later, the alarm is magically turned ON. Time to get a new clock - but not this brand!

Big and good looking
Its a very attractive clock. Alarm is very loud, Can display time both in AM/PM and in 2400 time format. Also works as a night light as the numbers appear bright when the lights are out. However, the display stopped working correctly after 3 years; some segments of the display just don't light up anymore. It could be bad soldering or something, have not figured it out yet.
