iFixit Battery Compatible with iPhone X - Repair Kit

The product is of very good quality and comes with everything necessary to change the battery, as well as a good instructional video that avoids making mistakes. I have replaced the battery on my iPhone and I am impressed with the battery life, I have not felt it overheating or draining quickly. I currently have 162 charge cycles and it lasts the same as the first time, the iPhone still shows 100%, I use the phone all day and I have 20% remaining.

This is a good kit. It’s scary taking the screen off your phone. But there are good videos to watch and it takes some time but my phone is working better with the new battery. It’s a delicate process but be patient and this will improve your battery life immensely.

This wasn’t my first time installing a new iPhone battery I’d like to say I’m more than capable of working on electronics I do micro soldering and other tedious tasks so I’m more than qualified and is not user error, I noticed the battery starting to get hot when all of a sudden it just ballooned and separated the display from the frame of the phone I went with this battery expecting quality

Tools were pretty good and was able to perform the job. Be patient with the suction cup when removing the screen. Keep all screws separate and well adjusted organized for re-installation.

The battery (quite literally) gave new life to my iPhone X. Where I had been needing to recharge sometimes twice a day with minimal use, I was able to go about 40 hours between charging after replacement, and my phone stopped getting hot with use after replacement. It was also fairly easy to do with the help of tutorials on YouTube.

I might change the review if the battery doesn't last long. After the initial discharge/charge cycle, it seems to hold a charge over two days. It's pretty fantastic, and it's how originally held a charge when I bought my iPhone X 5 years ago. This will hold me off from getting a new iPhone for the time being. That is until it stops getting security updates and I'm forced to get a new iPhone. Comes with all necessary tools except for the heat gun, which I highly recommend as it will loosen the sealant compound a lot faster. The instructions on iFixit's youtube channel were kind of terrible. I'd recommend the version on iDoc Europe EN's youube channel. Their instructions are far more concise and detailed I'm not going to sugar coat it. It's a nightmare to replace the battery on your own, and I probably would've been better off paying an apple store to do the battery install on site. It's just $90 with the battery included, and it only takes them a few hours to do it.

Great kit. Worked as advertised, easier than I thought, took longer than I’d like (mechanically inept). I like the tools it provided as well as instructional video on their site. I recommend searching YouTube for other videos before you dig in, to see the different ways to remove the original battery. Overall, if I can do it, so can you.
