Year Full Of Stories Hardcover – January 1, 2016

This is a fun well illustrated book. We homeschool and have been reading a couple of these stories each week. My yongest loves the book and often wants to re-read the stories over and over.

We love the artwork in this book! Sweet stories! Love that they are seasonal. Easy to read without having to read every day and get behind!

Ok, the truth is I have been coveting this book for quite some time now. It is just so beautiful and I have a weakness for beautiful books. It took me a while to bite the bullet because I didn't necessarily NEED it for our home school curriculum this year so I just pined over it for awhile until I just finally couldn't take it anymore! I do not regret it, This book is just as gorgeous as I knew it would be and the stories are great. They are the perfect length to keep little ears interested and entertained (we read it in our morning basket time in our home school) plus the illustrations are adorable. This is the kind of book I will keep and read to my grandchildren some day.

The stories are short and sweet. Gives perspective about different culture with gripping imagination. I made my daughter point to the country or region mentioned in each story in the map. I would tell a little about that place so making her think about the world. She loves this book and reads it every night!

This is a marvelous book to add to your collection, particularly if you are a parent or teacher. I love books like this - that bring together stories from all around the world and expose us to commonalities from beyond the Germanic-and-Nordic cultural roots that (at least used to) take precedence.Two complaints - the first one is just a pet peeve of mine. As one with a deep interest in Slavic culture and Central & Eastern Europe, I was disappointed at how few stories came out of these regions. Secondly, the artwork detracts from the book as a whole, in my opinion. It looks like discount Picasso.

I purchased this book because of the many stories it contained. I sent it to my daughter to read to her child. They tell me they are enjoying the book very much. The book came very promptly after my order and I am very satisfied with my purchase.

If you are a teacher or parent this is a great book. I can't use all the stories at school, but there are enough to make the book worth buying! If you have young children at home, I would buy this book. The stories are from many lands and cultures.

Bought this for a 9 year old gift. When it came in the mail, we fell in love. Plan to buy for all the 9 year old gifts this year. There's nothing better than a book you can keep going back to for short stories. I put this in the category of "Rebel Girls" if you're a fan of those books for your kids.
