Needed something that wouldn’t melt into a gooey mess the moment the sun hits my car dashboard. So far, this double-sided tape is holding strong—literally and figuratively. It sticks well, seems tough, and installation was pretty painless. The backing is a little finicky (like trying to peel a stubborn sticker off a new phone), but the included tool made it way easier.The bond feels solid. Now we wait for tomorrow's solar oven test when the sun comes out and turns my car into a rolling sauna. If it survives that, I’ll consider it dashboard-approved.If I run into any issues, I’ll update this review. Otherwise, assume it passed the heat test with flying colors and is officially awesome.

Used this double-sided tape to secure a piece of metal trim over our massive 30-foot outdoor sliding door, and I’ve got to say, I’m impressed so far. I wasn’t totally sure it would hold, especially with outdoor exposure, but it’s stuck like a champ. The metal’s been up for a few weeks now and hasn’t budged, despite some windy days and fluctuating temps. We’ll see how it holds up through the full stretch of summer heat and sun, but for now it’s doing exactly what I hoped—no screws, no drilling, no fuss. Application was straightforward, and the tape has a strong grip without being ridiculously thick or messy. Definitely a solid option if you’re trying to avoid putting holes in your siding or frame. If it holds all season, I might start sticking everything up with this stuff just to avoid tools. Highly recommend if you’re looking for strong, no-drama adhesion.

I had to buy about three different 3M products to get to this one. This is the real deal very strong. I stuck this lighter on top of this tuna fish can and the bond is great.

This Double Sided Tape Heavy Duty, Adhesive Mounting Tape will keep anything you need secure as the adhesive used is very very stick which i personally loved! I have used this tape inside and outside and under the hot Florida sunshine and the tape as done a stellar job! Highly recommended this tape!

DOUBLE SIDED TAPE HEAVY DUTY, ADHESIVE MOUNTING TAPE WATERPROOF, 16.4 FT X 0.94 IN., STRONG.I didn't know I could review both of these double sided Heavy Duty Double Sided Adhesive Tape that is waterproof, since I think I went overboard when I bought both. I have tested this out on some stair treads that frankly wouldn't stick. I am taking a huge risk by trying this on our White Oak high glossed staircase, and I hope that when I remove them I don't remove the shine high gloss finish. For some reason I thought that this is less harsh than the 2 inch same brand. I think that I won't be taking any more risks and I think that I'll give this to my husband since he might find it useful, since in my mind I thought that this was less harsh when I ordered it. I think that I went overboard buying both of the same brand except the other one that I already reviewed at 2 inches has a lot in common with this except this roll is almost an inch and the other one that is the same brand, but 2 inches. I will come back and update this review when I remove the two stair treads and describe whether this is any less harsh that I'm worried that it might be. It won't be a huge deal for a few patches of varnish to be noticeable and it's easily patched. But if it is safe and doesn't affect the few thin areas I used I will inform whatever my experience I have, but that won't be in the near future. At least you'll know the results, but for now I'll give it to my husband which he'll be wondering why he's getting the same brand only an inch smaller.

Good tape but not worth 18 dollars. WTF???

Excellent. I used this tape to vertically mount a knife rack on a subway tile kitchen backsplash. The rack is made of hardwood with a magnetic core, and weighs several pounds. It has been in place, now, for a month, with no signs of losing the firmness of its adhesion. I also used the tape to mount a half-pound, wood and brass fixture, on a painted wall. As of several weeks on, it remains firmly in-place.

Used for a dashcam and worked well for about a year. I'm guessing the Texas heat eventually wore out the adhesive. But since you get a large roll its not much of a task to replace as needed.
