Musketeers, The: Season Three (BBC/DVD)The Musketeers return, in a stunning third series that explodes from the screen with more thrills, action and adventure than ever before.]]> Review: It was a brilliant series and I was recommended to buy the box ... - Such a shame there isn't a Series 4 just to get France up and running with The Queen and Aramis leading the fight! It was a brilliant series and I was recommended to buy the box sets just to see it again and appreciate all the nuances/love interests/storylines that ran through it all which you probably missed when aired as the action flowed. Glad I took that advice as you get so much more from re-watching it all particularly all the sub-plots. The BBC were idiots to keep on changing their minds about the time it was suitable to air. Constant chopping and changing were lethal to the viewing figures which were very respectable. The sword fights were brilliant. It ended too soon and there should have been a Series 4. Credit to the wonderful palaces and villages and towns of the Czech Republic and of course their great film studios responsible for the backup. My tiny tiny tiny criticism was that none of the Musketeers were good horsemen. Review: Love all the series!! - Love this series as the rest. Great Athos found true love with Sylvie and not with the killer milady. Glad to see that Athos was now over Milady and have moved on. Sylvie has what Athos wanted, a trust worthy, loyal and faithful partner, which Milady was not. The other musketeers also saw that Sylvie was good for Athos and yea they did have chemistry which was good. I also love the way Sylvie was introduced to the series as STRONG and FIERCE and FEISTY, someone not afraid to speak her mind and fight for what is right. The Matthew McNulty who was the villain was very good at his game and Rupert Everest was also great. All characters kept me watching this series! Shame this is the last though...but glad to know the musketeers all found their true love and calling. Well done BBC...but please #bringbackourmusketeers!

Having enjoyed the first and second series The Musketeers series 3 ...
Having enjoyed the first and second series The Musketeers series 3 didn't quite match the first two but I bought the DVD set to complete the series. I have just been watching the episodes and it is still sad that the Musketeers is no more as the actors were all really good, i a bit dimwitted too. I miss the humour in series 3 and the villians like Grimmo (Matthew Mcnulty) is not as creepy as Marc Warren was as Rocheford or the Cardinal series 1. It's great seeing how grown up The Musketeers themselves have become, while sad that the King dies with the White Plague and Treville is murdered near the end. I think Mil lady di Winter should have been in more episodes (think she had had a baby in real life) but it was fun to see her back for a bit. The scenery was good too. I wanted to watch this series again as when it was shown two years ago in May, the BBC kept missing weeks due to football or any other documentaries replacing the time slot which probably didn't help the ratings much. I will never wonder why the Musketeers was never nominated for any TV awards, perhaps it wasn't taken seriously enough or people prefer more depressing TV programmes. I will miss the Musketeers, Athos, Aramis Pothos and D artanian (sorry for mispelling) although it was nice to see the actor Luke in BBC Our Girl only for his character to be killed off! Note Rupert Everetts character Feron should have been in more episodes as he was quite a good villan too.

It is good old fashioned swash buckling and long may this continue and thanks to this DVD you can relive it all the time.

Fab, fab, fab
Slight spoiler included! Loved the whole 3 series. Shame it has come to an end. Great actors, including seeing a very funny return visit by the brilliant character Bonnaire. Had me in stitches in both episodes he appeared in during the three series. Lovely horses, lots of action and all the boys get the girls in the end.

Libero adattamento dei romanzi di Dumas. Serie brillante, cast eccezionale. Tom Burke bravo da far paura e colonna sonora emozionante. Difetto: i sottotitoli solo in inglese. Dimenticavo: spedizione velocissima.

Season 3 continues where season 1 and season 2 left off. Great swashbuckling adventure.

Ever since I was young, I have always liked the Musketeers, but this series was by far the best ever. The first time I watched it on Prime, it actually stressed me out worrying about the Musketeers getting hurt. LOL The casting was excellent! After watching the 30 episodes, it became quite addictive to watch again and again. When I get time I watch it on Prime, but I just had to buy all three seasons so I am never without it. I highly recommend it. Bravo to the cast and crew.
