Nice quality overall, but!
This item came very fast, thanks. When I went to use it I could not get the schrader valve into the section that would allow me to turn the ball valve off. It turns out that the internal seals did not allow the schrader valve to pass all the way through the ball valve. The fix for this is to use a drill bit slightly smaller than the inside diameter to remove the encroaching seal material.Using this tool without fixing with a drill bit will put you at danger of losing all of your refrigerant, very expensive issue. Now it works great. Hope that the supplier reads this. Thanks for a cost effective product but please fix at your end before shipment.Mike

Check and learn to operate tool before using!
The schrader valve remover tool is hefty and looks to be mainly made of brass. Does not come with instructions, but there are many videos if you need to learn how to use it. My York Heat Pump developed a slow schrader valve leak that a soap test revealed last week. Ordered this tool to do the job but unfortunately, the end part of the tool that grabs the valve to remove, didn't grab it firmly, so after completely loosening and pulling out the section to exchange the bad valve for a new one, there was nothing there and just freon blowing out. I tryed to close it off but the stuck valve inside would not let me as it jammed itself sideways. Quickly removed tool and was able to screw a new valve in without losing too much refridgerant (added approximately 2 pounds after sealer-dryer) A/C is ice cold and back in business!

BUY IT!
Sorry I didn't take any photos as my nerves were running high doing this for the first time!!!!To keep this very simple... These are worth the buy and the cost is a bargain compared to the other more expensive brands. It's heavy and sturdy and did the job with no problem. I used a small channel lock for a more snugged fit which I don't recommend if your heavy handed. It dosent require tools but I used one simply because I noticed I didn't hand tighten it enough for a good seal initially. So if your able to get it hand tightend well it dosent require any tools. Once the seal was obtained off the old schrader valve went. I added a bit of nylog blue to the new schrader valve seal and on it went. I'm a happy camper now, not to mention I'm feeling very cool!!!

Not as easy as you hope, but way better than pumping the system down!
So the rod that unscrews the valve has a small o-ring that you have to push... I say, you have to PUSH it onto the tip of the valve, or when you unscrew it, you aren't holding the guts of the thing. So it's a tight fit sneaking the thing up through the mechanism without pulling it off that little o-ring. Do yourself a favor and play with one of the spares they send so you can see how it fits and what the tension is- that will save you some frustration. Also, didn't expect it to pop-up (system is pressurized! so it's going to pop up) but if you want to keep hold of the insert, you need to hold it in place and slowly withdraw it until you can close the valve. You will lose a tiny bit of gas with this tool.

not for A/C with schrader valves
this is well made but only comes with threaded attachments. I have 4 vehicles and all have Schrader valves on the A/C. This tool does not work on schrader valves and is of no use for most A/C units.

Broke with first use, but still useable
The core remover works quite well, sadly the ball valve was stuck when the unit arrived and the plastic lever snapped off. I now use channel locks to open and close the ball valve. I still think it’s worth the price and will probably buy another one when I get annoyed with the channel locks.

Versatile and Functional
I have yet had a chance to use it and seems OK but appears of modest quality. No manufacturer insignia or stamp anywhere. It is versatile.

Valve leaks.
The valve leaks and couldn't hold a vacuum. Disappointed because it looked OK.
