Vegetable Balti Pie

Never had one of these before......always thought they were a bit naf! Not much to look at when you first open the tin......but really do rise well. All in all.....an easy meal and rather good. Yummy! (^:}

How much? That is the question. After my wife was introduced to the pie approved by the vegetables of society, she loved it so much that it wasn’t too long before they began identifying as a Fray Bentos Vegetable Balti Pie. I admit, I had my hesitations, but things have really heated up now in the kitchen department (to 240 degrees, fan assisted, to be exact) and the relationship that me and my piefe share is nothing shortcrust of bliss. Hand me the tin opener, and take my £7.50 of extortion once again for this discontinued tin of absolute curried piefection. Fray less. P.s. We’ve had one of these pies displayed on a shelf in our house for 5 years now. It’s unopened, and is always a talking point when we have visitors who notice it placed next to the Squishmallows. P.ps. Don’t mix with carbonated cola! The Bentos and Coke challenge is not something to laugh about, and is quite frankly a danger to your tippy tips. Could result in a paper cut or worse. P.s.p.s.p.s. Why has the cat just arrived? This is not suitable for vegans.

Best fray bentos pie by far. I got mine not so long ago when they were around £2 each. Then they started to go up in price rapidly. They’re now between £6 to £8 ! For one !! Not worth spending that much.

The very best pastry ever. I used to eat the steak and kidney until I became a vegitarian 35 yrs ago. It's wonderful to have the taste of the pastry again and the veggie taste is scrumpsious. Even though it's a fair bit of money it has to cost. A fair bit for postage as they are heavy. I totally recommend Makes me feel home again
