Learning Elastic Stack 7.0: Distributed search, analytics, and visualization using Elasticsearch, Logstash, Beats, and Kibana, 2nd Edition

Author claims to use Elastic stack 7.0. But as I read and compare to official documentation, material is not updated against version 7.0. Example: in one place in book it says that index can have only one type, in another place it says index can have many types. Official documentation says Type was deprecated in 6.0. I think I'm reading book for 5.0, and not 7.0. Try online sources or other book. In some examples it uses newer version syntax, sometimes older, which makes it absolutely hard to follow.

I got a copy , it is very easy to understand. illustrated in such a way that easy for beginners as well! Very good book so i wanted to leave a review here . I recommend it to any level of knowledge level in ELK

Index Lifecycle Management topic was completely avoided for some reason. Additionally I also agree with one of the reviewer that this book looks more like a rushed updated rather then anything else as there are some inconsistencies in different places of a book.It's a shame because otherwise it could be really good introduction into Elastic Stack as I like how author explains topics.

Authors have explained each concept in detail and can be easily understood. I would recommend this book to anyone who wants to start using elastic stack for their projects.
