This container was too large so I sent it back.

I found the internal dimensions are significantly smaller than specified, 14"x21"x8.5"deep rather than specified dims of 15"x21.8"x9.4"deep. Not having 1" in each dimension almost forced me to return it as my contents must be shoehorned in tighter than I would like.

My polarizing binocular microscope was too big for a standard microscope case, and this case fit the bill. The bottom of the case has three layers of foam, each consisting of a rectangle of 1/2" x 1/2" "squares" stuck together. You can remove whatever squares you need to to customize the interior to fit your equipment. The exterior hinges and latches, and the case itself, appear quite sturdy. If you're looking for a large equipment storage/carrying case to fit some oversize equipment, this works quite well. Highly recommended.

Size was the key. Almost everything out there was 2-3 inches "wrong" somewhere and this was exactly what I needed. The quality is good enough, doesn't feel cheap at all, hinges and clasps are sturdy. Interior foam is cheap, but effective and I don't expect it to turn into powder or harden up quickly. I've had that happen. It looks good, a little more utilitarian than some but not unattractive. I can see this for all manner of things: handguns, cameras AND a drone in one case for instance. Now I guess I'll have to go out and buy some of those...purely research, you understand! :-)

Amazing quality

This case is mis-represented as being made of aluminum. All of the panels are made of low grade fiber board, only the frame is aluminum. They used the cheapest latches and hinges. I really wanted to return it but it is the perfect size for my needs. I don't expect it to last long. Not at all worth the money.

This is a fine case for its intended purpose of protecting cameras, microscopes, etc. However, its description is misleading. Only the frame is made of aluminum, and it’s pretty flimsy… but good enough if you’re not planning to sit on it or something. The panels are actually made of what looks like 3/16” fiber board with a very thin layer of plastic coating the outside. Again, it’s fine if you’re just carrying a camera around, but it’s basically a really nice fiber board box. The photo is a piece of the front panel I had cut out.

I was having trouble finding a durable case to fit my Swift SW350B microscope. This case fit the dimensions I needed perfectly. The bottom foam comes in 3 layers. Each layer has pull apart option to customize your design. The top egg crate foam is glued on and not removable. This case is lockable, but the locks are pretty cheesy. If you need high security I would pass on this case. However, it is perfect for storing items. I didn't test the water resistance, but I suspect the inside would leak water. The seal around the case edges are not 100% tight nor have rubber to keep out water. The case itself looks professional.
