Great charger, I definitely buy again 🙂.
I like this charger. The only thing that would have made this better is an app. So I could see how the batteries are changing from a distance and not keep running to the charger to see the results. Nevertheless I love this charger.

XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger Review
So, I finally got my hands on the XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger, and boy, it's like the Swiss Army knife of battery chargers! First off, let’s talk about its four slots – it’s like having a mini parking lot for your batteries. Need to charge your 14500s, 18650s, or even the big ol’ 32650s? No problem! This bad boy’s got you covered. Now, let’s get into the fun stuff. This charger isn’t just a charger; it’s an analyzer, tester, and all-around battery whisperer. I popped in my trusty AAAs and it was like they were having a spa day – getting pampered and rejuvenated. It even made my C and D batteries feel young again. I’m convinced this thing has magical powers. The display is super user-friendly. I mean, who doesn’t love a good light show while their batteries get juiced up? It’s got all the info you need – voltage, capacity, internal resistance – it’s like a battery geek’s dream come true. I felt like a scientist in my own home lab!Oh, and did I mention it handles 11.1V / 3S battery packs like a champ? I used it on one of my RC car packs, and it was like giving my car a turbo boost. Other users are raving about this feature too – one guy even said his RC car now runs like it’s on rocket fuel. I can’t make this stuff up!But the real kicker? It’s super intelligent. I left it on overnight (oops) and it automatically stopped charging when the batteries were full. No more waking up to batteries hotter than my morning coffee. To sum it up, if you’ve got a collection of batteries that need some TLC, the XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger is your new best friend. It’s smart, versatile, and makes you feel like a battery-charging wizard. Trust me, you need this in your life – your batteries will thank you!

All you will need.
Better than most. This charger has the capability to test for battery capacity as well as charge batteries. The charge current is adjustable in steps .5, 1, and 1.5 amps. slow charge is easier on the battery. It keeps temp down as well. It does take up to 12 hours to charge and discharge a battery for a capacity test. the bigger the battery the longer it will take. I am satisfied with this equipment.

XTAR Dragon VP4L Plus Charger
This is my second Dragon VP4L charger purchase. Since this is the only way I have to charge and test my 26650 batteries, I wanted a backup charger plus now I can charge 4 26650's at 2 amps at a time. So far, I have only charged 4 26650's with it but it has performed perfectly.I purchased an Opus BT-C3400 (before I purchased the VP4L Dragon) two years ago because it was cheaper, and it said it would charge 26650 batteries. Nope, wasted money. The Opus never charged any of my 26650 batteries because it would not recognize a 26650 in any slot. Stick with the XTAR Dragon charger. If you want your Dragon VP4L charger to last, always put it on a flat surface so air can circulate and never on a carpet floor. Also, always disconnect the charger from the power source when not charging.

Recommended with a caveat
The good:* Displays the amount of charge and discharge in mah. This tells lets you know how much capacity the cell really has.* Can choose between .5A, 1A and 2A. If the battery allows it, you can charge much faster than other chargers.* Works with Lithium Ion and NiMH batteries. Many chargers will not work with lithium ion cells.* Works with many types of batteries. For me this means AAA, AA and 18650.* Refresh feature combined with mah display is necessary for NiMH battery conditioning. The typical rechargeable AAA and AA battery needs to be maintained and conditioned. Unlike lithium ion, if you don't regularly cycle them, you'll slowly lose capacity. Some chargers lack a refresh feature. This one does not. Others that have the refresh feature lack a screen that gives a charge reading display. You need both to know with certainty that your battery is in good condition. The bad:It's made of cheap plastic. When you press the buttons, other parts of the unit flex. The display is kludgy. It's what you find on an old digital watch instead of pixels driven by a microprocessor. For the price of the XTAR, I'd expect higher quality materials and display.I would recommend this with a caveat. I'd only recommend it because I don't know of a better charger, but it's easy to imagine one.
