Good quality item just received and fitted in under 10 mins, the handle is metal which is where most of the wear and tear is so expect it to last better than part it's replacing and the use of nuts to hold the cable in place is a nice touch that the original on my armchair didn't have. Fixed my armchair in a jiffy, ten minute job swapping cables in and out. Spring on it is just the right tension and actually much easier to recline chair than old setup. Beware the casing is a very tight fit to a standard hole for the handle and it may need to be hammered in place to make it fit flush (I put a hardback notebook flat over it and hammered the book a few times so as not to damage the metal and it worked fine). Didn't seem to have screws but as per previous doesn't need them and I have screws from old housing if it works loose in future. If you see no edit or update here assume all is going well.

I’m disabled and not very good at repairing items but this replacement handle and cable were so easy . I took the handle off first and fed the cable through the side of the sofa and trace the cable through and has I reach each section it was attached to the sofa I disconnected the old part and put the new in . And it works perfectly z. I was so please for less than £10 I repaired the sofa myself .

Fit ok

Amazing little piece of kit! Very easy to replace. It didn't come with any instructions so head to YouTube. There are quite a few videos but one where a guy suggested to tape the end of the new cable to the beginning of the old that you need to undo from the pulling handle. Pull onto the old cable from inside of the chair and it will bring the new one through the right hole. Domyourself a favour and FIRST INSERT THE METAL END INTO THE MOVING FLAP IN THE SEAT MECHANISM AND ONLY THEN PUSH THE BLACK PLASTIC BIT THROUGH. Because if you push the blastic bit in, the length of the cable is not enough!!! A couple of quid and a bucket of sweat and now I can recline again.

The item itself is competitively priced and looks to be just as good quality as the original. The cable and handle were not attached when the item came, and in order to join the two a file was needed to enlarge the hole in the handle to accept the cable. This was a minor point, though. Getting the old cable out was not that easy as the handle was a very tight fit in the side of the chair to the degree that the metal actually cracked getting it out. The new handle is very slightly smaller so fitted a treat. Look on a well know video site and type in the search box "How To Replace A Recliner Handle And Cable" and this shows you how to fit the new cable.

Worked out great a cheap fix too.

Unfortunately does not fit gplan recliner. Needs modification and cable about 6 inches longer

Wow an excellent product so easy to fit , two of my recliners were broken and I thought I would have to buy new sofas but looked on Amazon and found these and thought I would give it a try yippee actually works this has saved me money would definitely recommend to anyone.

Ho dovuto acquistare questa maniglia di ricambio per poter riparare il mio divano reclinabile comprato all'azienda ormai fallita Centro Convenienza. La maniglia originale era in plastica e si è spezzata dopo alcuni anni di utilizzo. La maniglia di ricambio in lega è decisamente migliore. È più robusta e durevole, quindi dovrebbe durare molto più a lungo della maniglia originale. È anche più facile da maneggiare, grazie al suo design ergonomico. L'installazione è stata semplice e veloce. Ho seguito le istruzioni fornite e ho avuto il divano riparato in pochi minuti. Sono molto soddisfatto di questa maniglia di ricambio. È un ottimo prodotto a un prezzo conveniente. Ora devo decidermi a cambiare la seconda maniglia in plastica prima che faccia una brutta fine.

Solid build and easy to replace original plastic ones. Will not need to buy again as very strong :)
