The Chrome Shelf is Metal
I've read some dissenting opinions regarding whether the shelves are plastic or metal. I cannot speak to other than the chrome which is definitely metal. For the price, this is a great item.

Perfect solution for small bathroom!
I ordered this b/c it looks just like the $350 version at a home store nearby. This was easy to put together and really looks sharp in our bathroom. It is definitely "chrome colored plastic" and not real metal. But that keeps it from being too heavy…which is good. I've had it for over a month and it hasn't rusted or fallen apart. Such a good value and I will probably order one for the other bathroom!

I wanted a simply yet different to use as a towel rack with my abstract painting and viola!!!

Impossible to out together
I loved this chrome shelf, perfect for my mother’s bath. However, i spent 2 hours following the instruction numerous times and still wasnt able to put all the pieces together. The main issue is I couldnt screw the 4 vertical rods to the pieces they were supposed to be attached to. At the end I gave up, packed the pieces back into the box and dropped it off the local UPS store.

Poorly made product. Before it even got put together a large chip was found on one of the shelves.

Reasonable price
Perfect for guest bath. Just enough to hold a few things and dress up bath.

No brackets
There were no brackets to secure it to the wall and finding some to match is almost impossible. The shelf itself is nice but now it serves no purpose in my bathroom without being mounted somehow.

Functional, tasteful, best for secondary baths and hand-towels
Ordered it for a basement bathroom with a small footprint in order to save space. The screws had heads too large for the opening clearly intended for them to slide through, so it had to be mounted a bit further forward from the wall. Thus, its top-bracket-only hanging style makes it less than ideal for towels actually being pulled off the bar (pull downwards, not forwards), but its assembly and fit seems otherwise sturdy. Aesthetically satisfying, if the material choice is a bit awkward. Will have to see how it holds up in a high-humidity environment. Would recommend, but perhaps not for heavy-use bathrooms.
