Thought I could prevent birds from nesting on the top of my rollup shades on the patio. Sad to see theywere not deterred by the "spike" implementation.

The defender spikes haven't been in place long enough to determine if they are effective.

I had problems with raccoons or other critters hopping the wall around my yard and digging up my freshly planted grass and crapping in the birdbath. Nothing else worked: sprays, powders, ultrasonic irritants, motion-sensing sprinklers, etc. Was about to install a 5000-volt electric fence that I got from Amazon, or stay up all night and throw rocks at the damn things! Then I got these strips and used some double-backed tape to set them on the top of the walls and BAM, as soon as the critters tried to scale the wall, their paws felt the sting of the spikes, and they retreated from whence they came. My neighbor also got some to protect his yard from a pesky squirrel and it worked for him too. Highly recommended!

My sparrows still land on the spikes after 2 days. Peppermint essential oils work Great and peppermint plant on either side of the door walls.

My fuzzy little punk kitten loves to walk on the edges of plants and doesn't realize how heavy she is. I've had to clean up mud from at least 5 plant spills. These spikes seem to do the trick. I use long wood nails to keep the spikes pressed to the dirt and cover the whole of the potted soil with them. She tries to climb up and then winces at the sharpness which is perfect. I find it also helps prevent fungus gnats if you group them tightly enough.

These work great for SQUARE planters. You also need pins to keep them in place. Otherwise they get knock out of the way.

I think anything that step on these spikes would hurry and get off and not come back. Be careful I poked my finger and it hurts.

House sparrows are one of the most irritating non-human neighbors you can imagine. Not only that, they like to search out and destroy Bluebirds. They also like to flock on top of my window mounted air conditioner and engage in their licentious reproductive practices. So I covered the air conditioner with these strips and some outdoor, double stick tape. Problem solved. Period.

Ayer pusimos el producto en unas bigas y su colocación fue facil. En nuestro caso tuvimos que cortarlo y la verdad que quedo perfecto.Lo enganchamos con silicona. Los pinchos son muy puntiagudos y pinchan de verdad, por eso creo que cumplira perfectamente con su comentido. Llego perfectamente embalado y a tiempo.

Lo puse con todo esmero, sin que quedaran huecos entre las piezas, y al terminar de ponerlo, me encontré con que se posaron 4 palomas que no se dejaron fotografiar, pero allí estaban, riéndose de mi trabajo y de este invento que no sirve para nada.
