It's good
I have all of this series now and this is the last I needed. I really like it, info and images a very good ,great ference on many aircraft the only downside is the quality of the paper is slightly cheaper and less tactile than the rest of the series.

Axis Aircraft of World War 2
Great book that shows the different aircraft types would be great in a history class covering world war 2 and a great reference also for model makers of world war 2 aircraft and the authentic camouflage patterns

Exacting
Well, you culd pay 200 quid for a book that covered all the major types and minor. Their specificatins and history. This book dosnt cover how many sorties the L 1 vigilante saw in the pacific arena, but it certainly gives bang for the buck.If you are even vaughly interested in WW2 aircraft, the only reason why you already fail to own this book and its equivilents, i simply because you dont care enough. Call yourself a air enthusiast? PAH!Try saying that again with a straight face Mr Dont-Own-David-Monday-books. You simply look ridiculous.Buy now or forever be labled a total loser.

Like the book, but could have cleaned it up a bit, cover little dirty, just need a wipe over, I know it's second hand, still a very good book

An excellent reference book
This is an excellent reference book, in 'A5' format. With a devilment history of each type plus colour plates of the major aircraft along with colour and/or black and white photo, while the lesser known types have a in the majority of cases a black and white photo.

A Stunning Book, a Masterpiece.
This is the best Aircraft book I own. The information is simple and to the point, it is a beautiful book, the illustrations are stunning. It has a fresh modern feel, it is a handy managable size and above all it is a Historical snapshot that is very valuable.I truly recomend this book, not just for the technical enthusiast but for nurturing a lifetime of interest.

Excellent overview on Axis aircraft.
Mondey covers a wide variety of Axis aircraft with excellent illustrations, photos and detailed synopsis of the major types. He also covers many lesser know types as well. Certainly an excellent reference for the student of WW II. I have other books on WW II aircraft, but Mondey offers nicely detailed descriptions of each type and the roles, short comings and positive attributes each plane encompassed. He has some pithy comments too, such as his comment on the Mitsubishi G4M Betty in the later half of the war, going from "a potent bomber into a useless flaming torch" which was certainly the case due to lack of armour, defensive armament and a lack of self-sealing fuel tanks. It is a worthwhile addition to anyone's WW II library of books.

Very good book. Great illustration and photos. I recommend. It came too late. 3 and half weeks with extra ports.

Found it interesting
I bought this originally to serve as a reference for scale modeling but once I started flipping through it i ended up finding it an interesting read. Most books I use as references typically include just pictures and specifications. This book went so much further by providing a thorough analysis of most Axis aircraft. I think anyone remotely interested in aeronautic history would enjoy it - and with prices starting at $.96 on Amazon you can't go wrong.

A great general reference book
When looking around for general books about Axis aircraft of WWII I was not coming up with many results. I found this one and was pleased with my purchase. It covers all the main aircraft and their specifications. Good pictures and drawings. It doesnt get into super detail of every plane, but as a general reference for this subject it is a good and inexpensive book to ad to the aviation library :)
