Electric Pepper Grinder - Salt & Pepper Mill Battery Powered - Stainless Steel Design with LED Light

I almost gave it a 5 but a couple nuances that are important to me prevented that. First, the area that holds the pepper or salt is too small and somewhat difficult to fill. A proper funnel does make it much easier to fill though. Since I purchased this grinder to apply pepper when I make 15-25 lbs. of jerky having to refill often is an inconvenience. Second, having to remove the battery section before removing the section to fill with pepper is another added inconvenience. Especially since their is nothing really holding the batteries that secure. And then having to carefully align the tiny contacts for the light when re-assembling is tedious. Sure, if you are careful and gently remove the sections its all cool, but still to me a poor design. This is my first battery powered grinder so maybe their all that way, still a backwards design.So far it has worked great but time will tell as to the longevity. I haven't used enough to test the battery usage but I did try rechargeables and they work fine with no grinding slow down due to the lower voltage.After some more thought, notwithstanding the filling problems, if the unit held more pepper I would give it a 5. My manual grinders hold at least 3 times as much. Maybe I'm being a little picky, but that's how I see it.kd

This mill does a very good job of effortlessly grinding pepper. It came with a skimpy little piece of paper explaining how to set it up. Installing batteries was quite easy, but there was no information about how to remove the upper power parts from the pepper chamber, and after trying various approaches, in desperation I just pulled on the top and it snapped apart. After filling the pepper and fully reassembling the mill as I said it grinds very well, but the LED light does not work. I have definitely put it together correctly and done a lot of studious fiddling with it but so far can only get an occasional flicker from it. I should probably return it, but I only really need the grinding function, and maybe the light function will decide to work on its own later.

No real complaints - the grinder works very well. It took me a few minutes to figure out how the batteries should be inserted and then another couple minutes to get the thing loaded with peppercorns and then put back together (there were no instructions). But that took just a couple minutes and I've been really pleased so far.

The one-page instruction included the obvious way of putting in the batteries and pushing the button to get the light on and operating the mill. What was NOT included was instructions on how to open the bay to put in the salt/pepper to be ground. Trying for 20 minutes on how to open the bay led me no where. (I was afraid on twisting or bending the parts and breaking the mill; how you can send a machine without the crucial info on how to fill it is is beyond me.If I do not hear back from an email sent to BruArher on their useless instruction I will return the mill and let other people get trapped in an inoperable mill.Robert K. It does what it's suppose to do. The instructions were a little confusing and took a bit of patience to put in the batteries and put it back together. The light didn't want to work at first but after bending the little prongs it works now. Doesn't provide a fine grind but it is sufficient enough. It's worth it's price.

This item does not work well at all. Light only worked for a very short time, I bough 3 of them at the same time and they all do not work well. They don't grind the salt small enough. Very little salt comes out with the grinder is going. Just does not work well

Bought as a replacement for another brand that had gone bad.This works as expected & can handle the Pink Sea Salt I use.Easy to use, easy to replace batteries. Looks good on the counter or table.

I would have given it 5 stars for its concept the light and style; but the silver colored top started coming off when you pick it up and I had to place some tape around the battery compartment to keep it from coming off.
