Hunter's Specialties Flex Form II Head Mesh / Net Material, Realtree Max-5 Camo

I ordered this for my 5 year old son in the hopes it would work for part of his halloween costume. It does the trick, but is a little big. That is my fault as I'm sure its for an adult. Other than that, its perfect, made very well, and a perfect addition for any hunter.

Not what was expecting: the mesh material is highly transparent.

These were intended for hunters, but I use them as part of an outfit I wear while shooting wildlife photographs when it's too hot and humid to wear a ghillie. They certainly do keep swarms of bugs away from my head and neck although I get an occaisional bit through the eye opening. Wildlife don't seem to see me while I wear them. I've had Egrets and Heron walk within 6-10 feet of me while feeding. In order to use these for photography, I had to prevent the lightweight mesh from moving the eye opening while shooting pictures with my camera, otherwise the fabric would block the camera viewfinder. I prevented eye opening movement by wearing a camoflauged boonie hat or reversed baseball cap. I've had good success taking pictures of birds in flight with a long lens while wearing these.

The one I received must have been a different one from those buyers giving it a 4/5 star rating. Granted I don't have the smallest head on the block but the mesh tore away from the opening for your eyes the second time I tried it on. It was uncomfortable from the beginning. Had it not torn I would have just written it off as a bad buy. It will cost me almost the price of the net to drive my truck to the nearest UPS drop off. I will bag it up and wait til the next time i am close to a drop off. There are other head nets out there for about the same price that are more comfortable and sturdy.

No, it's not as opaque as the picture would have you believe. But it does a great job of breaking up your lines and taking the shine off your exposed dome. I'm a bald guy that hunts ducks in AZ so I appreciate this thing is light weight and breathable, comfortable on your bare skin, and takes the glare off by big toe lookin head. But the first thing that you need to do if you order one is put it in the washing machine, otherwise it has the rigidity of a paper bag and it smells like someone closed up the shipping container from china with a bunch of onion farts.

Very flimsy\cheap.

Excellent product!I used it hunting Woods yesterday kept my face safe too!
