I got these as a solution for my new construction home theater as the cabling I was using was highish gauge (Knu Koncepts, recommended, been using them for years) in wall speaker wire due to run distances in the theater. I was not able to find another binding post to do what i needed here and that was a custom keystone based wall plate I made myself. Not only are they surprisingly burly, you can insert the cable in the back and use the included set screws to secure it. If you are looking for a heavier duty, set screw based binding post, you can't go wrong here. I am betting they are chinesium, but there isn't any country of origin marking, hence my assumption in the first place. Even so, I think they are worth the what some may consider to be a steep price per pair, but hey you wanna spend $100 or more per pair, there is always WBT.... not a jab or insult, their stuff is REALLY nice, but you do pay for it. Your call kids, but I like these just fine. Heavy duty, functional, and so far, reliable.

Built like a tank, this is a beast of a plug! Look at the comparison photo of a regular banana plug. Just be aware of its size when you are looking to add it to your project. It is highly conductive as well.

These are heavy duty copper speaker terminals that accept 8 awg wire easily and clamp with robust strength. However...they have an extra guide protrusion in the plastic washers that must be removed for install in a standard circle and this is difficult to do and dangerous with an ex-acto knife. More troubling, roughly 1/3 of the 28 items I purchased were defective -- the outer clamp would not screw off entirely and you could not, therefore, use a cable lug.SO, expensive, dangerous, and often defective...what's not to like?

I've refurbished a couple pair if Klipsch Heresy I's and these have been a great addition. Good, solid build and tight fit for the banana plugs I use.

Black coating comes off way too easily. That is my only complaint, and I am very picky with audio. Sound great...
