For a beginner, I think this is a good quality kit. Almost everything you need to get started.

This kit has everything you need to get started with jewelry making. I'm a newbie, but am grateful for this kit and the price.

I love the this set, it's easy to use, I love that it came with pliers, it has everything you need to make any type of jewlery. Would definitely reccomend for begginers it's easy to use and fun!

The pliers were nice. Obviously not the best you could buy but I'm just starting out and they work great! Some of the other tools were quite cheeply made but still useful. The awl was pointy and the handle is holding strong, and I have pretty large hands but its a good size. The jewelry findings (clasps, wire, loops, etc.) are probably the biggest let down in the package. Very beginner quaility, like you would find in a child's jewelry kit. But not unusable, the wire gauge is maybe 26 or 28? You could use it for beading earrings or something but if you are looking to wrap stones or anything Ike that you'll need to buy separate wire.

Love this kit. This and a few other things were the first things i ordered to start making jewelry. You will not be disappointed. The jump rings and everything else is very good quality. I would recommend.
