I love this lamp! It is exactly as described. It is the perfect light for my living room. I had read that the bulbs stick out the bottom, but I just bought the decorative bulbs (shaped like a flame), and they work perfect. They even have LED bulbs this shape that don't show. I love that you can light one side or the other. In fact, I put different wattage in each so that when one is on, it is more of a soft, almost nightlight, effect. When I want to read, I turn on the brighter light. The height is perfect. The other two that are similar to this are taller, and would have crowded the space I have. I very much like the alabaster glass better than a cloth lamp shade. It matches the Mulholland torchiere with the same alabaster glass. I'd buy this again!

Used standard 40 watt bulbs and no sticking out. Dont know what bulbs these people are using. The shade covers them just fine. Love the lamps.

I needed light in the Den since all the dark wood built-in bookshelves and the floor just made the room a bit too dark. It works well and built well too. Just make sure you buy the LED Daylight bulbs so you can receive full clear light w/o any Yellow hue present.Good Deal!Dr. G. Goldberg

We just purchased a beautiful new bedroom set and searched high and low for the perfect nightstand lamps. These are perfect. Great height, sturdy, wonderful quality and they are such a great accent to our room. We give them a 10/10.

I bought this as a gift for my MIL and it came while we were still visiting. It was easy to put together and the amount of light that came from it was just astonishing! It really brightened up the corner she had intended and it matched her decor. She placed it in a tray with a teacup set and the stone base really set off her tea set perfectly! She could not be more pleased!

The shade is very elegant and looks great in the spot I bought it for. I expected it to be a little larger. I measured it before I bought, and it is the size it said it would be. It fills the spot fine. with the light on you get some of the pattern on the wall which is also pretty.

I really should have taken seriously the negative review I read about it. The base is absolutely beautiful. The globe was nice. But... the shade does not cover the bulbs. I bought it for a dresser that was about 4 feet tall ,but all I saw when I came into the room were those light bulbs sticking out of the bottom. I thought I would use it on a shorter dresser, but even at horizontal eye level the bulbs stuck out of the bottom. And I really bought it for the 4 foot dresser. I tried to like this lamp, but I couldn't get past those ugly light bulbs. It looked like the light bulbs were wearing a hat. This is a poorly designed lamp ---well actually to be fair it was the design and size of the shade. The pictures falsely show that the light bulbs are up in the lamp farther than they really are..
