Yukon Advanced Optics Scout 30x50 Wide Angle Spotting Scope

I purchased the Scout 30x50 spotting scope to take on camping trips. We used it so much during our last trip-the kids loved it. very reasonable price-Going to buy my father one for Christmas!

Excellent sharpness for this power.Image quality degrades as power increases in any scope.But 30x seems do able with this one.Some chromatic flare,especially on bright white objects.Some edge of view softness,but again...for this price.This isnt a 3000 dollar scope.I am able to read a license plate at almost 1/2 mile away.I use mine to look at high altitude planes,and that use is one of the most demanding of a scope.It works great.Minimum focus distance is about 75 ft, so this scope isnt for close insect and butterfly work at all.

My wife and I recently retired to our mountain property that we've had for quite some time. I bought the Yukon Scout 30x50 Spotting Scope so that I could check out the big-horned sheep that I discovered on my property. The Scout produces really clear images and is surprisingly lightweight. All in all its more than I expected at the price which I bought it at, and I'll be using it frequently on our property.P.S. Thanks to the Scout, I spotted a sheep grazing on my wife's lintels and stopped him before he caused too much damage.
