So..i dont normally write reviews, however i do read them and somewhat rely on them.. so ill do the next person a favor here and write something about this flash..With the first 2 initial reviews being sucky, why did i rate this flash 4 stars..Im going to start by saying that i didnt buy it from amazon, so i had no shipping problems.2nd i got it for 40 bucks less..so at 100 dollars, i wasnt hoping for much...however, This flash works.. it work for me the first time and everytime ever since i bought it..there were one incident where the flash wouldnt turn on.. and all i did was apply a slight pressure on the flash head and everything came back to normal..again this flash works..i was amazed at the quality.. to be honest i learned all about manual flash exposure using this flash..its pretty simple.. easy to use..it doesnt cycle as fast as the 430 exII however give it one more second and it will give you a similar result ..i've had it for a year now for my canon t2i and it fell and the hotshoe piece broke... (my fault really cause i used it with an umbrella on a wendy day)so the build quality isnt great..but thats probably the only downside, it still works as a slave flash..i plan on buy a couple more in the future ..it is inexpensive but it gets the job done...Im glad i bought it.. cause i have gained knowledge.. now ill know what to do when i buy the 430 exIIand i plan and using both flashed together..

Lets start out with the beginning. The delivery time from the seller was absolutely slow !!!! once i received the package i was really excited to give it a try. As advertised it says it works with the canon 20d. i went ahead and read the instructions which were not that great, and installed it on my camera. fired off a couple shots and seemed to work. But i only fired 3 or 4 shots and then bam, didn't work. i tried different batteries read my manuals repeatedly to see if i was making a user error and nothing ! i messed with the flash for about 2 days. I got maybe about 10 shots where it worked but after that it wouldn't work again..... it worked when it wanted. Maybe i got a bad one so i call them and explain them my situation. i end up deciding to purchase what i should have done in the first place, the 430 EX II canon flash. they were just gonna bill the difference. i was like AWESOME. so i pack it up the bower to return it.shipped via ups, took about 4 days to get back to the seller, i know because i tracked my package.A week goes by after the 4 days that it took to get there and i haven't heard anything confirming that they received or what the situation was. so i call, and they tell me they are processing thru the warehouse that i should here something by the end of the day or tomorrow. i give them the benefit of the doubt and wait 4 days. still nothing....so i call back to check up on things.... they said i should here something in two days about the billing and a confirmation number.....AGAIN I WAIT..... WEEK GOES BY AND NOTHING !!!.so i call back....now they say they have been trying to contact me because they needed my card number to bill me the difference.now i received one call within this week that i didn't recognize the number..... and they didn't leave a VOICEMAIL !!!! so i assumed wrong number.well i said what did you guys do to contact me. she said email and a call...well i didn't get an email !!!!once i got off the phone, i receive the email. ironic huh ?so whatever, i give them my number and she says great !!! you will receive the confirmation number today.AGAIN I WAIT..... this time i wait 4 business days.I CALL AGAIN !! finally i was put on hold for several minutes , but finally she sends me a confirmation number and i see my money leave my account.im gonna add that the people in customer service are really nice. but seriously why does the customer have to call the entire time !!!I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS SELLER OR THE PRODUCT.SAVE YOURSELF THE TIME AND JUST BUY THE CANON SERIES OF FLASHES.

I bought it used from B&H for $59 and couldn't be more pleased. I've used it on two shoots without a hitch. I recommend the product to anyone especially if affordability is an issue.

I bought this item before there were any reviews on amazon, but saw some good reviews on other sites. This flash was used for 4 weddings and stopped working. Multiple sets of new batteries were tried, but it would not even turn on. I would not recommend buying this product unless you what to throw your money away.

I bought this item and it worked perfectly when I first recieved it. I took a few test shots in my living room and got really excited about having this flash. When I was ready to take it on an assignment, it failed. I turned it on and you could sort of hear a faint charge but it wouldn't flash and none of the buttons worked. It still doesn't work and I'm returning it tomorrow. I would go for a different brand or a higher end flash from bower...
