Surya Infra Red Ray Infrared ray cooktop Model PS-19 in Crystalline Glass Plate Black SS

The product is of new technology. Compared to induction oven, it is evenly justified it's need. Though it can be used by any metallic / earthen vessels unlike only the iron / steel utensils can be used in induction cook-off, yet it heats-up the utensils and the oven furnace like a normal heater (coiled) cook-top unlike a induction cook-top which doesn't heats-up extremely. Induction oven is silent and cooks faster while the Surya infrared cook-top is a bit noisy and takes more time like LPG gas stove. Time will tell - will the Infra-red cook-top, be able to replace the popularity of induction oven or will it go down to oblivation.

The top glass covering broke. We bought with great hope thinking it is some different technology. It basically has a electric heating coil which is covered on top with a polymer (German technology - it said and I was hopeful it may be worth the cost) which is supposed to transmit heat well and not get damaged. It has some electronic safety / control features for temperature etc. However, it did not justify the extra Rs 800 - 900 (compared to other open coil electric heaters because within the first day, the "German technology" top cracked due to heat. Also, it gives a slightly plastic smell when you switch it on. It takes a lot of time to heat even water at the highest setting.Overall, not a sensible buy. You might as well buy an open electric heater or electric plate, which may work out cheaperHowever, I have to mention this. I am very happy with Amazon as they took the return the very next day after placing the complaint. And this is not the first time. Whenever I have had an unsatisfactory product delivered, Amazon has responded immediately. I really appreciate that their consistent service. Though I have seen reviews saying otherwise in some places, I have been happy with their service this far.

After using 6 months...below is Review ! 5 Star as i felt this Electric stove does the Job !!Rice, Dal, Curry for 2 people takes 10-15 mins to be cooked.Milk- 1 liter... takes around 10 mins to Boil.This stove has many functions to control Heating 60, 80, 120, 160, 180, 200.....degree CI start with 60 degree for first 3 mins and increase to 80 and120 degree to increase heating to prepare any dish in time range.I guess any (electric) stove would lead to Over heating if any one start cooking at 200 degree from the minute they on the electric stove.Overall this product does this Job.

Don't go through any negative comments..The cooker is awesome in size, wattage, Power consumption, quick heating and also all metal heating..You can even boil water, make tea on red clay pot as well as on glass pot...I am writing this review after 1 week of random use...means 3 to 4 hours per day..Product pic of clay pot, glass pot, aluminium pot of boiling water will be uploaded soon...

this surya infrared ray cooking device is nothig but a heater. I felt being cheated and returned it.

good product, specifically when you want to use all type of utensils.
