Great for a chimney charcoal starter.

Bar none. This is the fastest, easiest way to get a fire started. Each piece lasts long enough to get kindling started without a flash of flames that a liquid starter would cause. Could be a bit cheaper.

I bought a pack of these as well as a pack of the Royal Oak tumbleweeds (which is the type of charcoal I've grown to love, so I'm a little biased, probably). The Royal Oak pack only had nearly half the weight of the Glamper pack but cost just over a third of the Glamper pack, so there were certainly some savings to be realized. After burning both side-by-side, the Glamper tumbleweeds catch a good flame within seconds as opposed to close to a minute for the Royal Oak, had a slightly more even brun (though both were very comparable once they were in full burn), and burned for practically the same duration as well. I'd honestly say that I preferred these tumbleweeds a bit more since they start up more quickly but still burn just as long, but the price difference is a deterrent and why I'd only give four stars since the two products are nearly identical otherwise. However, it's a very effective product and worked exactly as intended and actually exceeded my expectations (along with the other type) for tumbleweeds, so don't be afraid to try them - they're quite nice. How did I light charcoal before this. Not anymore if I can help it. Try it you’ll love it.

Easy to light but they also go out easily. Not near as good as the tumbleweeds I bought at Walmart. Not going to purchase this particular brand again.
