High germination rate - slow starter & low grower
Quality seed. Tested by mixing with humus+manure then covering a filled divot. Germinated quickly that way but took a lot longer when used to over-seed (~45-60 days) Low grower but super fine grass.. would love a full lawn of this stuff

No growth at all.
I seeded the load towards the end of September and absolutely nothing grew. I want my money back. It’s ridiculous. I spent over $80 to get a 10 lbs bag of seeds. The lawn was watered to perfection, and the weather was cooperative, yet no grass. I see a lot of people complaining about the same thing. I am pissed !

MOSTLY WEEDS
This did not grow well for me at all. After seeing some very favorable reviews on Amazon, I decided to buy a bag. After seeding my lawn very heavily, the area was watered regularly with very poor yield. Numerous weeds. I attempted to grow the seed back in April. Just recently, I killed all the weeds with Round-Up and re-seeded my lawn with a generic brand from Lowe's. That particular grass seed sprouted within one week and is growing strong. Granted, I planted this Lowe's grass seed just last week (end of September). Perhaps spring vs. fall planting makes a big difference? I am no expert in lawn care. I thought planting seed in April would be an ideal time. My experience was poor with this particular brand, and I would not recommend this.

Not Drought Tolerant At All
I live in the north east and I used this as an early spring seed the first few months it came in amazing. April, May and June the lawn looked fabulous once I hit July and August almost all the grass died. I watered as much as I could and maybe this summer was a bad one for heat but it’s not drought tolerant.

You gotta open the package, son!
There seems to be a bit of concern regarding the packaging of this seed so I thought I would make my review on that. First off, this is a very reputable company and does sell certified seed. The packaging, once opened, revealed a sturdy, professional plain white back with an analysis label. I purchased mine on 19 September 2020. As you can see from the label it was tested 09/2020. All pertinent information is on the label. Once opened you can also see this is an uncoated see. I just needed to state that in case some are looking for a coated seed. Overall I'm really happy with the packaging and looking forward to another review after I throw this stuff down. This will be for an overseed project.

I think every seed came up
I don't know why some people said they had germination issues. I have to think every seed came up. We did 3 buys from these folks and we have 3 acres with bluegrass coming up through ryegrass the next spring. I chopped ryegrass down as far as I could, spread seed, ran aerator over everything to loosen and work in seeds; then repacked the loose dirt back down. Its important to pack it back down afterwards and I think thats what everyone misses.

Never came up at all
My husband was so excited to purchase this grass and plant it. Did everything how we were supposed to. Detached our yard first then even brought in a whole load of topsoil and spread it out. Spread the seed then placed peat moss over the top of it and kept it nice and moist. Absolutely nothing has came up and it’s been over a month now.
