Genuine leather, hard to beat for the price.
Why did you choose this product over others?:Yes, it IS actually leather. Simple construction, feels well made, stitching seems good and tight. The leather feels similar to a crazy horse leather, so should age spectacularly. Good stuff at a good price!Fits the 9.5×14cm books, in my case a Clairfontaine lined and Moleskine Cahiers plain, perfectly without any stretching or weird bending.

Cheap quality leather but durable and good value
I could've sworn I only paid £7.99 for this around a year ago. But looking back at the invoice it was £19.00 apparently which seems a bit expensive for what it is in hindsight.Anyway, for the price it's just okay. It gets the job done. Durable, holds 2 field notes sized notebooks perfectly. I've squeezed in a third notebook but I keep it secure with a rubber band.I've actively used this for few months and the distressed leather does get a bit darker and shinier over time, which I prefer. It's not full grain, so I wouldn't call this patina. The smell of the leather is a bit off putting at first. Assuming it's all the chemicals used to process it. The stitching is done using normal cotton thread using machine, which I expect at this price point. I don't expect this to last for many decades, but it'll definitely last for several years if you don't abuse the hell out of it.Overall, it's pretty good but don't expect a luxury leather quality to it. It's no way comparable to shell cordovan or Horween leather CXL. If you don't know a lot about leather or you just want an inexpensive cover, then you'll probably be satisfied.

Beautiful, solid cahier pocket protector
This is exactly what I had wanted. A beautiful, tough, real leather cover for some cheap notebooks. It fits Moleskine Cahier Pocket notebooks the best (as pictured here). The leather is beautifully tanned, the stitches neat and the workmanship is perfect. It allows me to carry 2 pocket books without damaging the covers; keeping them safe and protected. It also helps them look far tidier than on their own. Ignore whatever reviews claim it has developed a patina; it won't (and hasn't in my 8 months of heavy daily use, they're just confused as to what a patina is) because its not full-grain leather, but don't let it put you off as its solid and stunning. So helpful and stylish to protect my notes!

Great Quality and Price
It's a great, simple product that does one job impeccably.Lovely Leather feel - fits inserts just right and enough room for a penNothing bad to say - a definite recommendation

Fab quality. Great value.
Gorgeous leather that might not look ‘distressed’ straight out of the box but I can tell that it will show scratches easily (in my opinion a good thing) and patina very well over time.Looks and feel very well made.Fits the Moleskine Cahiers nicely.Love the simplicity and lack of branding.Would love the option of other colours to buy for friends/family. And also would be great if there was an option for one to have an inbuilt pen loop.

Perfect Combination
This may seem like alot for essentially a flap of leather with two pockets. I have used this both as intended for a notebook cover (which fits a moleskin cashier perfectly), and have modified it. Since adding a central stitch, this is now my wallet. Its holds a notebook, 6 cards (could move to 8) and some plasters and receipts, and still is not much thicker than a pen. Cash can also be stuffed behind the notebook with minimal folding, and with a moleskin you get an inside pocket as well.It will peak up from your back pockets slightly, but isn't going anywhere and realistically is no bigger than a phone. I have had this a good 4 months now, aging well and no sign of any issues
