Gryphon 1 Inch Diamond Coated Mirror Grooved Grinder Bit

Good-quality tools get the job done without frustration. Gryphon bits are my top choice, and I’ve been creating stained glass pieces for many years. Whenever I install a new bit on my grinder, I immediately order a replacement to ensure I’m never without the tools I need to complete the job.

I have been looking for a grinder bit that would fit my Glastar grinder....up until now No luck. But this bit is quality and fits my grinder and so far it has been a pleasure to use. I almost forgot how nice it is to have a bit that really does a good job.

I use this for grinding glass for stained glass panels. I have tried multiple brands on Amazon and this one seems to last the best. It isn’t the cheapest but I prefer longer lasting equipment so I prefer to pay a bit more for better quality. Arrived quickly and fits my hobby lobby grinder.

I use this on my Diamond Tech Power Max II grinder and it works great! the bit works fast and doesn’t chip the glass too badly! Will definitely be getting another gryphon bit in the future!

Used this for one glass project, noticed it was tearing/splintering my glass. Went to remove and the screw that tightened it on to grinder would not come loose. The Alan wrench that came with the bit was soft metal and it will not loosen the screw. Now after trying to loosen screw it is stripped. I know I did not put a lot of force on it so I figure the metal on screw is cheap!

I purchased a Gryphon 1/4" standard grit bit at my local stained glass shop, but they didn't have a 1" available. I went with this brand again, since I liked the slightly course texture of the standard grit I bought.Unfortunately the 1" bit from Amazon wasn't the same grit texture at all. It was way too fine, almost like the one I've already worn down.I blame Gryphon.Don't expect consistency with this well known brand.
