SL3b-T Bluetooth Audio Streaming add-on Adapter Compatible with Most 2004-2012 Toyota Models

This is simple plug and play. I ran into a few problems that were of my own doing. The instructions are printed really small so they are hard to read and are not very detailed.This simply plugs into the back of your factory head unit, BUT you need to plug the plug you removed from the factory unit and plug it back into the VAIS, they do not make that clear.The other issue that I did not understand was that you MUST emulate the VAIS unit to your factory unit. If you do not do this it will not only not show track info, but it might disconnect and then not reconnect back to your bluetooth device.Again, the instructions are small and super simple.I often use the camera on my phone as a magnifying glass, once I did that and actually read the full instructions, everything was fine. And still is fine.This thing works great. Is it worth the premium price? I do not know. There are less expensive units out there.

I ordered this bluetooth streaming audio kit after reading numerous reviews on multiple online forums for both the VAIS and the Grom units. The installation couldn't have been any easier. It only took me half an hour or so and most of that was removal of the dash and radio from the dash frame. It functions exactly as they describe, right out of the box. This even solves the annoyance of having to click the "I Agree" button on the older Toyota/Lexus navigation units.it even has a USB port which i used to route a cable through the dash and exit the driver's side of the center console so now we don't have cables coming out of the lighter plugs. i highly recommend this unit if you are considering adding bluetooth to your older lexus or toyota (or other vehicles they make them for)

Added Bluetooth audio in my 05 Land Crusier first try. Sound is great. Only issue is if you turn Bluetooth off or the phone looses connection because you run back inside for something you have to turn the car off and back on for it to reconnect.

I purchased so may different bt modules before finally spending the money to buy this one. Many of the other modules make you lose the function of your rear seat entertainment. Best bang for your buck. It emulates a cd changer and you can use your steering wheel control. Love it

Put it on 09 highlander hybrid limited, works great. Super easy to install. Make sure you read the instructions before programming. Sound is nice and loud.

My Vais SL3b installed in a 2009 RX350 worked great for a few months then I lost audio output. It still connects to my iPhone via BT so audio for music or directions no longer comes through my phone but it does not come through my car speakers either. I can’t find a fix online so it is now useless.

2009 Lexus ls460. Ease of connection and operation. Works side by side with existing factory phone BT in vehicle. Limited use of factory fwd/rvs buttons. Factory volume works great. Clear good audio quality.
