When I need to buy tools, I try to get the Knipex versions as they are great to use. These scissors are very sharp so they cut cleanly through a large range of materials. The center cutout for splitting cable and crimping section is a nice addition giving you flexibility to use them for different tasks and work perfectly when you need them too. The included sheath/belt clip allows this to be worn and pulled out when required. the overall size is perfect for small snipping tasks although the grip could do with being slightly larger.

Lovely bit of kit, I use them on most data comms stuff, cutting cable, cable ties, cable sock. Very sharpe and durable

Cuts through cable like a hot knife through butter! Great for cutting, trimming tails, crimping ferrules... does everything you need in one tool. Great belt mountable sheath for carrying too!

It's a Knipex. Just like their wrenches, pliers and cutters, this is a tool well designed and made to LAST. The blades are very sharp, and cut through darn near anything. The metal is thick and robust, I am pretty sure you'd need to secure these in an anvil and hit it with a mallet to get one of the scissor blades to deform or bend. They came with a nice belt case, I can see myself using this for YEARS taken care of properly. Yes, they were a little expensive - but the extra dough gets you a tool that will serve you well for a long time. They make a few different models of electricians shears - it's really up to preference on what might work best for you. I've tried the "Ergonomic Angled" model a friend had... absolutely fantastic cutting performance, but it always felt weird in my hand. THESE I really like. Any of the Knipex brand I'd highly recommend, you really can't go wrong with any of these!
