Economical CPU Holder, CS-21

Great mount, good for unique devices, but be ready to invest in better hardware.
Summary:PROS: - Simple frame, accommodates odd shapes with ease - Easy to installCONS: - Poor-quality hardwareDetails:I purchased this to clear some space on my new Jarvis desk. I currently use a ~13"x13"x15" "cube" PC that has a rather large footprint for such a small unit, and I figured dangling it under the desk would make my life a little cleaner. Unfortunately, the vast majority of under- or side-desk mounts have a maximum width of ~9", which wouldn't handle my tower. This holder seemed like just the fit.To be clear: THIS IS TWO LONG ANGLE BRACKETS AND TWO WEB STRAPS. That's it there's no magic or interconnected metal frames or additional science to this mount. The description was a little vague to me when I bought it, so I'm noting this emphatically. The straps are mounted through eyelets in the brackets, and there are 6 screw holes in each bracket (though you're only expected to use 4 of the holes on each side). I included a picture of the frame & hardware bag as it was when I dumped it out of the box.Installation was a BREEZE! The web straps are pretty tightly mounted within the brackets, so I was able to lay each bracket on either side of the top of my PC, pull the straps to a comfortable fit, and then hold the brackets against the bottom of my desk while I marked for pilot holes. If you're able to flip your desk over, this would probably be a little easier. The mount isn't heavy and it's not difficult to attach from the underside of the desk as well. It includes 4 foam spacers for keeping the top of your PC open a ventilation, but if you have cooling issues or rely exclusively on top ventilation, you may want to provide some additional spacers of your own.The brackets are sturdy, and the web straps will outlast me with no problem. My two concerns about this are the lame mounting screws provided and the buckles on the straps. One of the 8 screws that came with this mount was already half-sheared at the head, and I twisted off another one simply trying to get it started in a pre-drilled hole. I ended up tossing the remaining screws in my remnants bowl and buying a set of quality stainless steel screws from my local big-box. I'd HIGHLY recommend this versus trusting your delicate devices to those cheapo screws. The buckles on the straps appear to be solid - I didn't notice any give when tightening my computer into place. However, they're oddly-colored and probably made of the same pot metal as the screws. I trust them for a few days, but once everything's broken in I'll probably replace them with good steel buckles/clasps from the hardware store as well. I tried to make sure these buckles are visible in the attached photos. My uncertainty about the hardware cost this item a star.Ultimately, I'm happy I nabbed this. It's one of the only products that will work for my specific situation, was quick to install, and is working great so far. Other than the aforementioned buckles, there really aren't many points of failure here - it's more likely that my desktop & screw give out than that the web straps snap. I love an affordable product I can feel confident in. I absolutely recommend this for mounting your computers.

Excellent Device
I was looking for an affordable CPU mount for under my desk to free up some space. I found this online and decided to give it a try. It is less expensive than other CPU mounts and it's universal. I just mounted it a few days ago and I love it. I'll get to the why, but first let me mention what you get and what you need.Get: Mount (two metal brackets about 15" long coupled together with vinyl straps) Eight (8) wood screws about 3/8" in length Two (2) plastic ties (to hold up the excess strap once computer is secured into place) InstructionsNeeds: Cordless drill with phillips bit (or screwdriver but you'll have to use your own power) Ruler Pencil Space I installed the CPU holder in about 20 minutes. Since it mounts under your desk and suspends from underneath you'll need some maneuvering room under your desk. Furthermore, it is probably better if your desk is real wood or something stronger than particle board because the computer is hanging by the eight (8) wood screws. You'll also have to make sure that wherever you mount it under your desk you have enough room for the CD drive to open (mine was initially blocked by the keyboard tray). I read reviews on this product and one of the reviews said that the computer is loose inside of the holder. I have to say that my computer is very snug in the holder. The steps I took were:1.) I placed the brackets on the top computer nice and snug just like you see in the picture for this device.2.) While holding the brackets in place I used a ruler and measured the distance between the holes in the metal brackets where the screws go (it was 3 5/8"). There are four (4) holes per bracket that should be parallel to one another when installed correctly.3.) I placed a bracket under my desk exactly where I wanted it and used a pencil to mark where the holes were.4.) I used my ruler to measure from those pencil marks 3 5/8" away to where the holes of the second bracket would go.5.) With my cordless drill I screwed the brackets into place. After I did that I placed the computer into the brackets, held it in place and tightened the two straps. It's a perfect fit. So the key is to take proper measurements between the holes of both brackets. You can't be too precise with your measurements. My computer is incredibly secure and I was able to get it closer to the monitor which allowed me to get rid of my monitor extension cable. It also has a nicer cleaner look than before.
