AMT 1953 Ford Pickup 1:25 Scale Model Kit

I have built a lot of models, now on display in my display case, but this is now my favorite. I wanted an F-100 from the year I was born and I was not disappointed. I customized it a bit and this kit allows for several different options. Quality kit.

Amazon suggested I add some tips for making these. First I read the entire directions, decide which options I am going to use and plot the whole thing out; what colors I want in or what order to do it for painting and assembly and so on. You will need paints, different sized brushes, various grain sand paper, scissors for cutting out decals, exacto knife, nail file and glue before anything. You can use model glue, I prefer the "window maker by testor" over model glue. Some of the other things I have are a thinner for cleaning brushes and beebee's to put in the paint; it helps with mixing as you shake it (it works get it all off the side and I've brought back paint from three years ago). I have a marker and sticky notes, sometimes; there is a part that goes on the driver side and a different one on the passenger, I label the sticky note and paint them separately on each. When you detach the parts from the trees they come attached to; cut them carefully with the knife as not to break them and then file or sand the mark left where they were attached (this helps them to sit better together when you assemble them later). I also have tweezers for small parts and tape to hold parts together while glue dries. None of this stuff is all that expensive or hard to find, hobby lobby or your local model train store has everything. I quit smoking 7 years ago and saved a lot more than I've spent doing this. Purchased for boyfriend for Xmas and he was so excited to get started on it but realized it didnt come with the things needed to build it

Came with a complete spare engine which I used to put in the back as a "spare" for a drag race team service truck. I'm just finishing up a 55 Chevy gasser to put on a trailer behind it.

Nice kit well worth it

The kit contains lots of options to build as you like. Stock, custom, or resto-mod. I think I'm going to have fun with this one. Got it for mom. She wants the red Ford truck with a Christmas tree in the back. LOL

Comme tjrs quand un modèle amt passe dans d autre main pour rajouter, Chrome,3 différents choix ya pas photos chère mais le vaut ,a ne pas offrir à un enfant n ayant pas un minimum d expérience ,ne jamais se fie' a de nombreuses marques qui disent montage en quelques heures age des 10 ans ,?!?; Pas vraiment faisable oui! Mais dommage vaut mieux prendre moi si cher et basique et peu de pièce l enfants s amusera autant pour une maquette ou vous pouvez mettre 40€ de moins !?! A vous de voir

おまけのパーツが豊富で完成するとなかなか良い感じに仕上がりますが、 いかんせん、説明書が大雑把な表記のため分かり難く評価は３としました。 パーツの取り付け箇所がかなりアバウトな表記で とくにシャーシなどに部品を取り付ける際に２箇所ほど 取り付け方が分からず適当に取り付けた部分があります。 デカールはとても良い品質で、あとで表面保護のクリアコートをかけても 大丈夫で、安心して貼ることが出来ます。 ボディにモールドされているドアノブとワイパー部分を削り取り、 そのパーツだけ自作するとリアルに仕上がります。
