Beautiful Finish – Easy to Use!
I used Rust-Oleum Metallic Spray Paint or a few DIY projects, and the results were perfect. The color is rich and has that perfect metallic sheen without looking too fake or overly glossy. Perfect for updating hardware, frames, vases, or giving a luxe touch to thrifted items, which is what I used it for.

Love This Finish!
I’m remodeling my bathroom and trying to find consistent finishes in the color I want has been a challenge. This spray paint finish in the gold/brass perfectly matches the light fixture I picked out. I had some concerns about how long the finish would last, so I watched a lot of videos about the proper way to prepare surfaces. I sanded, painted, sanded again, painted again, then used a topcoat protectant.I’ve used this paint on door knobs, wall, hooks, towel, bars, and drawer knobs. It looks great and has held up well so far. The color gives a bit of worn-in gold without being too flashy.I haven’t had any issues with the sprayer, and one can has been plenty for lots of projects. No leakage or spattering. I always spray outside to reduce fumes.

Great paint, Rocket wheels
The cap color of the delivered item does not match the cap color of the item I ordered. Huge difference of color, however, .product name on the can , Gold Rush, matches the name of the ordered item. Rust-Oleum produces a great product. HOWEVER, the color, Gold Rush is exactly what I have been shopping for . I bought several other shades of gold and did not like the color tone of those. This Gold Rush by Rust-Oleum is the real deal yellow gold with a great perception of depth noticed as the correct gold tone to distinguish it from polished aluminum mag wheels as I applied it on the brake drums seen behind the wheels . Perfect for my 70 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme. Simply marvelous darlinks.

Rust-Oleum 7274830 Metallic Spray, Antique Brass,
While looking for a particular spray paint color I came across this one and remembered it is the color I have used in the past so I decided to chime in with my own experience. I used this color to repaint a metal framed dinning room table I have. When we bought the table and chairs the metal was grey. A color I particularly did not like, but my husband liked the table and chair design so we purchased them. Then I found this color from Rust-Oleum and decided to recolor the set.Knowing that the table would take some abuse -- there are the leg support rails at the bottom that we always put our feet on when we are at the table -- bad habit! I know that the longer paint sits the harder it gets, doing some research on the net I found out that most paints take at least three days to cure completely. So the table and chairs were moved out to the garage, this was going to take a while.Method I used and it was probably over-kill and yes, I tend to over-kill everything I do, but the results usually end up terrific! Two coats of primer (I used that rusty red colored primer) two hour dry time between coats. A very light sanding - 320 sanding sponge; then two hour dry time before the 1st coat of the metallic. 3 DAY cure time. 320 grit sanding sponge, then the second coat of metallic and another 3 DAY cure time. 320 sponge, 3rd coat metallic then 3 DAY dry time. I repeated this process with two coats of a clear top coat. This was six years ago and the paint job has held up terrific, even under abuse. No scratching, no flaking or peeling. I am not saying my way is the best way, I am just saying this worked for me. I have since painted several metal objects, including some exterior house lights, and they have all held up wonderfully.I should also add that I live in South-East Texas near the coast, and I doubt we are ever humidity free because of wind coming off the gulf but we are prone to drought summers, and I wait to do any painting outdoors when I wake up in the morning and there is no dew anywhere -- that's about as dry as it gets, so I paint on those days. I think Rust-Oleum is a great paint - if you use it correctly, as with any product out there. Read the instructions on the can and always be aware of humidity and temperatures.
